So with my new Canon Rebel, it seems that the pics I took on Xmas were shot in raw...how can I convert them easily so I can view on the computer and share them??? Have it connected to a Mac if that makes a difference.

The software that came with your camera should have a program that can convert them.

I think iPhoto will recognize/convert your RAW files ...
(ETA: just "Photos" now - they don't call it iPhoto any more.)

Get out the disc that came with your camera. It will have a program for file conversion on it. And basic editing if you don't have an editing program you want to use yet.

That's the thing, bought at pawn shop and no discs:( I had to update the Mac OS so maybe that will help me to download a program. I did finally figure out how to turn raw off on camera.

I'm watching a training video for Photoshop elements and he said "Now another popular image format for digital cameras, especially higher-end cameras, is the camera Raw format. Camera Raw is an unprocessed format that gives you an extremely high level of latitude when performing edits to an image." You can save them as jpg in the software which works with a MAC. It's on sale right now.
