I love her kits, they were exactly what I needed after stopping my AE and SC subscriptions. However, I have accumulated an entire handful of flair which won't be used and I've always struggled to use any of the cards that have stripes. My photos are often busy so my journaling/filler cards need to be pretty basic at times. Definitely would love a monthly blog post from her CT on how they used the kits because due to the new instagram algorithm, I miss out on so many posts.
Despite those few negatives, the positives completely outweigh them. Her customer service really is top notch, the quality of the cards and stamps is great, and shipping is super quick. Personally I think her style is fairly unique and different to what else is out there in the scrapbooking world. I struggled to find kit clubs that didn't have childish themes, loads of pastel, cutesy sayings, and the like... I'm young-ish, not married with no children and I think KP has tapped quite well into that demographic. I would actually love to see her and Paislee Press do a collab since they both do minimalist so well.

awesomegabi - a PP and KP collar would be awesome. I also struggle with some of the striped cards, but I think if I could get into cutting down cards I'd make better use of them myself.

Have you tried layering with a solid color on top, even white, and add journaling/stamping? Or adding a solid color biggish embellishment, like those vellum hearts SC had a while back? Cutting them down as a little side strip is a good idea too. I have issues with stripes sometimes too, but I love them.

While it's true that it might be different than what you'd expect from her, you're not going to run into 'going through the motions' because she's burnt out. This method lets her remain a small business without the pressure that Ali has because Ali can't just hand the reigns off to someone else for a month if she needs a break.

Cutting them down as a little side strip is a good idea too. I have issues with stripes sometimes too, but I love them. I saw a spread that had a huge white snowflake on top and Jamie W. used a neutral rectangle with a stamped sentiment in one of her sneaks, so the ideas are forming. I'm just a lazy scrapper, so the whole "cut and alter" a card is usually a last thought. Thanks for the ideas. I'm even thinking I may try white embossing on top of the cards and see how it looks. I live in MA and my kits are almost always in my mailbox by the 4th or 5th. She's got a very efficient process for shipping kits. I also love that I can bundle other items with my monthly kit and save on shipping.
I keep a PowerPoint document with images for each kit. It's a good reference so I remember what images are on the stamp set. But I agree that a blog post once a month - or even twice a month - once before release as a sneak and then one after - would be a terrific resource.
I like the flair. I like the labels. I'm happy with the kit contents. I especially love the stripes. They remind me of the KI striped patterned paper from back in the day.

I <3 KP kits! The subscriber discount and combined shipping makes me feel a *lot* better about loading up during reveal. I like the excitement of it and then getting early access. Every month is just a treat and I am happy to spend my money there. I only want to build up my embellishment stash because I love the cards so much, I want things that complement them perfectly. Unlike SC, there are so many good cards, I don't feel bad cutting them up, either. I feel like I have found a home with her kits, only wish there was a blog or one-stop inspiration.

I agree - I like that she includes simple, universal embellishments like the alpha stickers, labels and flair. I can fill in the rest from my stash or purchase specific items I want, vs a random mushroom clip or bazillion doilies that I won't use. I wouldn't be upset if she added washi though. But, I mainly get it for her stamps, which I love!
