Well I do love Shimelle, but at first I was thrilled to see another collection. The more I look at it the more I do not care for about 1/2 of it. I have lots of girls in my home and 1 boy, so I use pink all the time. It think her style is more darker bolder colors, which this is not, too pastel-ly. I am so over feathers. I love it when she uses Navey. There is purple in this set....which I really hate. I am teally trying to figure out why I do not like it as much as other collections.....I really loved the last 2 collections she had out....and I spent way too much money on buying most all of them.
I guess I will be using these up and look forward to her next collection....maybe it will be more "Shimelle-like".
I feel bad that it is not my favorite....with the scrapbooking industry hanging on for dear life, I hate to say negative things....I feel I should just love it and go on. I do not want the industry to die....it is just not my favorite.

I actually ended up liking more of this than I expected when I looked at each sheet individually. I'd consider about 2/3s of the papers -- individually! I wonder about AC though --- do they assign each designer a "critter" that must be worked into the design? I really don't need "critters" ... or bugs!

Usually I want to like Shimelle's lines because I like her, but in reality the lines are very "meh" to me. But this one is quite different and I like a lot of it! I probably won't get anything too critter-centric because I just never know what to do with all the random animals but the floral papers and color scheme I really like. I'm not a pink lover but I'm not a pink hater either and the pink here doesn't bother me. It isn't over the top. I'll be happy to pick up several pieces of this line.

Overall I don't really like this collection. It's nice to see some new colours (hello purple!) but the animal and cutesy elements do not really fit into my normal scrapping subjects or style. Now that I've watched the video there are a couple of pieces I'd like - the thickers word set seems pretty versatile and I like a lot of the die cut pieces. I may get some of papers for the b sides but if I miss out it certainly won't be the end of the world.

While I wasn't entirely sold on this at first glance, I am loving some of the papers. I think that some of the B sides will be perfect for an album I am working on right now. When I watched the video I actually don't think there are too many pieces in the collection that I couldn't use.

(Take note, AC, and stop doing terrible sneaks). Apart from the watercolour blocks paper which is hideous but I guess I could use the B side.

After watching the video, I think there's only one sheet of paper where I don't like both sides. Also, I got an Alice in Wonderland vibe with the keys and locks. It's probably just me thinking that. However, knowing how many pages Shimelle did of that Alice in Wonderland party, this collection feels more Shimelle-like to me than it did before.

I have a feeling Adele Toomey will want this...it's loaded with bunnies. Oh won't she though! And she's expecting a boy, so this will be perfect for bunny LOs and baby boy LOs!

I generally love Shimelle but this is very Easter-y and childlike. It is not necessarily my style. I may pick up something once I see some projects with it. Who knows? There are some cute embellishments.

After seeing the video I really love it and "need" multiples of a few papers. I hope it gets orderable soon other than at ACOT.

I do like that bright clear blue and the yellow I also like that the bear is holding a balloon and I also saw one with a camera and not a heart! There is less pink than say,the Amy tangerine line but I just cannot use foxes or rabbits. I live rurally in Australia and these animals are a HUGE introduced pest that cause a lot of damage on farms....NOT cute in any way Rabbits have devastated my veggie patch one too many times and the foxes killed one too many chooks for me to put either on a layout I am SOOOOO hard to please it seems......!

...and I agree the blocky watercolours sheets are hideous..... But most of the b sides are nice! They are not my favorite either. I wish they had a more defined edge so they could easily be cut apart to use for layering like one of her sheets in the Starshine line. I'll like end up using these papers like that regardless. I'm not sure I could use it as a full page.
