The only thing here that looks Shimelle are the pretty multi colored alpha stickers. The rest screams Amy Tangerine to me. Apparently it's a requirement from AC to include pink...someone here mentioned that she had been on a podcast and wanted one of her lines (starshine??) to not have pink but American Crafts wants it in every line because 'pink sells'. I guess if you puke pink on everything and you like enough of the line, you have to get the pink in order to get the other pieces you like, so I think that theory is crap. How about TRYING with one line and seeing how it sells?! But I really don't see Shimelle in this. Maybe the vintage cameras, but wow...so different than anything else with her name on it and even in what I see her use. Bizarre.

The book icons and the Thicker words look like her, too, I think. I wonder if she is finding the need for more woodland creatures when crafting with Wonder Boy and that is why they are included? Or they may be a more "spring" like icon?
I like the line, but there is a lot of pink again. I do like the navy and grey tones, though.

That's a lot of pink. whoa. After the Great Freeze I may have to pick up a few pieces here and there.

The second sheet of thicker words looks like Amy Tan's brush lettering.

Wow, so much pink. I like a couple of the papers (blue stars, clouds, chevron), and the alpha thickers, but that's about it.

A Cherry On Top has preorders for all the individual papers up on their site. It's not quite the feel I'm used to from Shimelle but I like it. I especially like the B sides of many of the papers. They will coordinate well with her prior lines.
I'm a little disappointed not to see a glittery Fitzgerald Thicker style. That's my favorite font and it's been with her previous lines if I'm not mistaken. I am looking forward to figuring out a way to use the badgers. I sense a Hufflepuff page coming soon for me!

I am glad you ladies don't care for it, means it's all for me-- I love it all. This is the only new collection I actually like. I happen to like the pink, navy yellow,-- all mine

You know what I think really gets to me about this collection? Nearly every line that has purple in it also has pink...and the purple elements are forced to share the stage with pink ones on most, if not all of the papers (which is usually something like 1 or 2 pieces of a line that has almost 40 paper options). Thus, completely negating the fact that they bothered to add in purple at all because I will not use it. The only exception to this is tiny bits of pink from Cedar Lane...that collection was otherwise so perfect that I was able to deal with the pink elements in the ephemera and other embellishments that I ended up with.

I have no problem with pink but I own some of the other AC lines and they tend to look alike after awhile. I will be buying 2 sheets of this paper though, I like both sides

I can pass on this one.
It is very cutesy. Lots of pink. Same old cutesy woodland animals, feathers, owls.
I want to like this, I really do want to. I like the pattern of the star paper, yet it just doesn't capture me. I like the cameras, but there is too much pink for me to want it.
It'll be a good spring/Easter line, though.

I don't think this line looks like Shimelle either, unless it's just her changing as her child grows, which totally happens.

Do not like. LOVED 'Starshine' and "Go Now Go'. Wish this had more of that vibe. AC already has Lizzy and Maggie to do the girlie-girl frou-frou lines. I wish they'd allow Shimelle's to be a different, bolder, deeper-colored aesthetic, unless she's fallen under their sway of her own volition.

Wow! That is a lot of pink, especially for Glitter Girl! Maybe she's expecting a baby girl this spring/summer? (if she is, you totally heard it here first. If not, it was said entirely tongue-in-cheek) You'd think AC would encourage her (a mother of a boy) to leave out the pink, so more people would want her stuff. I have two grown DD's, but I love her other collections. One DD likes bright colors (not light pink), and other DD doesn't like pink at all.

If I remember correctly Shimelle has always said that she scrapbooks for herself and uses what she loves, so she will continue to use pink on pages about her son because she likes it. I think a lot of mothers actually feel the same way. I haven't looked at the rest of the line but I wouldn't be surprised if the B sides all have non-pink or less-pink designs to counter all the pink on the front. [ETA: or not! never mind]
(And also perhaps because who decided pink is not for boys?? why not? every color is for everyone! and what's more the traditional boy/girl colors used to be the opposite way around and everyone in the old days thought pink was a perfect color for little boys. - eh, I know, nobody cares - Traditional baby colors sell and AC has obviously decided that most people want lots of pink, and judging by how much product they sell they are probably right.)
Personally I wanted to hate it because I have too much stash already, but at first glance I love it. Maybe not the bear that needs a shave, but I love the bright spring colors, the owl paper, stacks of books, the florals... I even like the thickers, and I hate thickers. Shimelle's brush lettering is neater and more uniform than Amy's and I would love to have the top half of those words.

Boo - the 6x6 pad only has half of the really cute designs that I like. Actually if that was all I saw I would pass on the collection completely. And single sided papers I learned the hard way (getting super-impatient for Starshine last year) that a 12x12 pad is far too much paper for me to handle and isn't good for cardmaking the way I do it. Maybe this is a sign that I don't need this stuff after all.

I think it's actually meant to be more of a spring line which isn't something we have seen from Shimelle's brand with AC in the past. About her having kids, though...it would be neat to see her expecting another (and might even do a lot to explain why she's struggling to wrap up and get really involved with her course content) mostly because she vaguely explained that she was having some serious trouble conceiving. She mentioned on her channel once that every time someone came up to her after a class and thanked her for being the face of the child free market in scrapbooking because it was very hard to find that a little piece of her died and it wasn't that she didn't want kids, she just wanted to make the best of the hand she was dealt (I took that to mean her extensive traveling). Not long after, she announced her pregnancy with Wonder Boy and I can't say I've ever been as happy for someone I hadn't ever met!

How has shipping been with ACOT? The few times I ordered from them (years ago, admittedly) I had to e-mail them when it was way past time for them to ship my pre-order / order. No apology, just "it's shipped now" response. I have zero interest in that type of service and can hold out until someone like Paper Issues gets it in their hands if that's still the case.

Love Shimelle, not loving this collection. There is not a single piece of paper I can see working with my pictures. I have all teens in the house. A few of the embellishments would work, but, again, very juvenile.

This is actually less cutesy than I expected from the original preview. I like quite a few of the papers, but I'm reserving judgement on the embellishments until I see them in person. Unfortunately, I struggle sometimes when I go to use a collection and don't have nicely coordinated embellishments. From the other AC previews I think I might be able to reach out to some of the other collections to round out the embellishment though.
I'm also missing the glitter Thickers that Shimelle usually has...fingers crossed they pop up at a later date

I really like it, even though I expected not to when I saw the name. I don't have little ones in my life at the moment, but the colors work for me, and even the papers I wouldn't use - like the cutesy animals - the B side is fairly generic.

I like the colors in this one. Even though it has pink in it, the combos are different.
