I have been working on my room getting it organized so I can enjoy it again. It's frustrating and fun because I love being surrounded by my supplies. I just finished going thru my dies and putting them in a system that works. I have stamps and tools to deal with. I got my one ikea cart all set up with art journal stuff. I have a few orders coming in just waiting on the mail man. I have been going to a friend's house a lot more to scrapbk and so enjoyed it. She has a nice set up to have friends over. It's my turn next so space needs to be clean! I have created more this year than I have in the past few years and would like to keep that momentum going. I even put a bulletin board up so I can put up inspiration or just a little something I have received or created.

I was able to play a little in my craft room yesterday. I finished a layout that I started a week ago and then started on another one. I am the slowest scrapper. Been using my cameo more and I am at a good place with it. The mat is the right sticky and the cuts are coming out great. I have a huge pile of layouts. I am thinking about 40ish that I did this year. That is more than I have done in the entire 4 years of collecting supplies. This weekends plan is to get them in page protectors. Then I need to do a little clean up and slight re-org. The tops of my desks are cluttered. scrappington - I like the bulletin board idea. I have a couple blank walls that I need to do something with.

I've been making cards using scraps and my stamps...just a little something to jumpstart the creativity in hopes that I can scrapbook in the new year.

I love hearing random scrappy stuff, so thanks for keeping it going scrappington. The grandchildren and DS leave Sunday morning. I have Monday off, so I am hoping to have some scrappy time. Whoo! I didn't get much done in December. I was working on photobooks for the great-grandparents, as well as all the other holiday prep.

We pack up nearly everything in our home for the holidays so we can decorate everywhere. It is like moving out of your home every Nov/Dec. So this weekend is put everything back, I did cheat a bit and started putting my scraproom back together last weekend, but I still have much more to go. I am looking forward to having a productive scrappy year in 2017 (2016 did not go as I had hoped) Going to try to participate in blog challenges, challenges at A Cherry On Top, and other places. I look forward to CalvinBall at Get It Scrapped in March. If I was doing OLW mine would be PRODUCTIVITY!!!!!!
Happy Scrapping everyone!

Would love to see what your room is looking like. Mine just got remodeled and I get to move back in this weekend. It is teeny tiny, so I am looking for extra creative ideas.

I have done very little crafting since breaking my arm at the beginning of the month. Hoping to get back into it over the next few weeks. Will have to wait for my December photos until January 14th when we will be in town for my niece's dance concert. I usually get into scrapping by starting with the most recent photos and events, then circling back, so not sure how it will go by starting with earlier photos. Hope it doesn't create a mind set of being perpetually behind...
I have a Canon Selphie, which I may use for 4x6 prints, but I haven't used it for awhile. I don't think this one crops, and I have never used it hooked up to my computer where I could do the editing I usually do at the kiosk. And, of course, it doesn't print enlargements...
I also want to open up my Christmas toys and play with them a bit, but not sure how they work exactly (or how much I can do with them with limited strength and mobility in my one arm). I have WrMK frame punch, magnetic stapler, and Precision Press.
Feeling sorry for myself tonight, but maybe after a good night's sleep things will look brighter!

I love hearing random scrappy stuff, so thanks for keeping it going scrappington. Me too! Feeling sorry for myself tonight, but maybe after a good night's sleep things will look brighter! Hope your outlook is happier today! Sorry for your setbacks. I've been scrapping a lot lately. And haven't bought a thing in about a month, I think it's been. I hoping this year is the year that I used a lot of my stash up. I have what I like, and I'm choosing not to bring more in.

grammadee You deserve a little feeling sorry for yourself. It would be so frustrating to have broken an arm, but even more so over the holidays. I hope you are back to normal soon.

Well I just got something to scrapbk. My DH and I made the cover of our local paper as story of the year. In Feb or Mar of this year we were out on a walk in our small downtown and a we were walking holding hands and laughing and a photographer approached us and said can you re walk that and be all happy and in love like you were. He said he was doing a story for local paper about the history and the restoration of our downtown. We said sure. It was funny. We made the digital online newspaper. Never thought anymore about it So this morning we go out for breakfast to our usual place and the waitress says you guys are famous you made the cover of the paper. We looked at her oddly she asked it is you guys right. We asked to see it. And sure enough the story made story of the year and there we are. Funny it came out on thursday and our copy was still in mailbox. So they gave us the copy at the restaurant and we came home and got our copy. Definitely scrapbk worthy. What a nice way to end the year

Take this time to put kits together then. Just because your currently broken doesn't mean you still can enjoy. Make notes. Plan out and still look at your stuff.

Sorry for whining, and thanks for your empathy, mikklynn and LavenderLayoutLady. The sun is shining, I had a good sleep, and am moving on. Thanks, scrappington for the kit idea. I was thinking last night that I might upload the photos to my computer and then use them to help me make a title list. My usual process with printed photos is to sort into sets, then make a list of the title I might use for each set. I then usually choose a set, grab supplies that work with those pix, and start scrapping Maybe this time I will tuck the chosen supplies for each title into a page protector with a sticky note. Then when the photos are in hand I can put the pages together. This is as close to a kit as I'll ever get. And maybe that process will allow me to go back to the earlier photos I DO have here without worrying about the new unprinted ones. AND give me some projects to jump start Calvinball in March...

The January class from SCT 365 landed in my inbox today. A double page and a card sketch and samples, plus a link to another site that has some interesting 2 page spread designs. I have set up a class file, and have saved the class materials and the page designs there. I have no use for the cut files, but I saved them too just in case I may own a Silhouette some day.
Hoping these ideas will jump start my creativity when I can get to it.

I'm making an effort to use the tools I have, since I'm on No-spend January.
Last night I used a triangle punch, two embossing folders, and a (lego-ish) brick die with my ZipeMate.

Well my order finally came in. Of course my mailbox was frozen shut after 15 mins of working on it my paper trey ink order made it home. This weekend I have a few cards to make. 2 are for Scrapbookers so they always have to be a step up. Trying not to over think it but looking forward to creating.
Oh just before Christmas I finally tried my big shot plus. That is a great machine. It worked beautifully. I will definitely be using it more. It is currently at a friends house who is making a special mini book as a gift. If they make a full size magnetic plate for the plus I would totally use it all the time. I know my regular one will go thru but be nice to have the full platform.
I am on a new course to get all house work done during week so I am not spending my weekends just cleaning. I want to scrapbook more. Its suppose to be snowy and cold this weekend. I am making stew in the crock pot for tomorrow. Perfect day to scrapbook / card make.

I'm working on my altered rolodex card swap. It's Christmas themed. I have the pieces ready to adhere. Have to wait for the tab punch to get in next week before mailing them out.
I've also been cleaning up my area since it was such a mess from Christmas. I still have 1 stack of supplies to go through. Yesterday the 2 literature holders (ordered last year) came in. They are sturdier that the cardboard one that held my 8.5x11 cardstock, previously. So I hope to get those put together and the top of the shelf rearranged again. .

I finished 9 pages this week! Even got to play with some art journaling for a couple of them.
Got my new PaperWishes catalogue, and put stickies on the pages with items I liked. Then got an email that there was a special sale on Tuesday, so I logged in on line and started filling up my cart. Problem was that a couple of the items I wanted most are not in stock; back ordered until January 18th. I decided to wait until then to see if those items come in before checking out. Since then I have been getting at least one email every day reminding me that I have items in my cart and warning that they may sell out if I don't check out soon. Guess I will take that chance. If the new stuff I want is in stock on the 18th, and if my coupon code still works, I can live without some of the other stuff tucked into my cart right now.

I've been sick with a respiratory thing for a little over a week, and I've only wanted to stay in my warm bed whenever I'm home. So I went through my photo files and I managed to sort through all of 2012. I edited all my usable photos and they're all ready for me to place a print order. I won't be able to scrap them until I'm done with 2013, but I'll be there soon enough! I'm finally feeling a little better, but my DDs took over my craft table while it was sitting unused. I'll have to wait for them to finish their painting project, but I don't mind a bit

UGH! I am trying to finish up my December Daily - I am on Dec 24 - and my silhouette will not work right! Its so frustrating. One minute the blade is not deep enough the next minuet it is cutting where it isn't supposed to. I have a Silhouette I have lots of Silhouette mats (a crazy number) I am terrified and I mean paralyzed with fear of the blade cutting through the mat. I am terrified to place paper on the mat and it won't cut in the right place and will cut a huge hole in the mat. I am terrified of changing the blade because the ones that I bought were 2 pieces and I don't know how to put them together. I don't understand how to read the grid where to put your image. I used the old software like once and got frustrated and gave up. I did manage to cut one title out. I liked my title just fine. I don't know how to take an image from the Silhouette library and put it on my grid (whatever that thing is called) I am afraid I will screw up and the blade will rip the paper and then of course cut a hole in the mat. My BFF amblet will tell you this is all true for me. I am mortified of my Silhouette. I signed up for classes and can't watch them. She is going to take the classes as me because I never opened them and teach me step by step what to do. I wish I were making this up.

I am scared to death of that thing. I don't know how this can be. If it's not turned on and not plugged in, there is no way for it to hurt me. It is barcaded in the basement against a back wall and totally unreachable due to other stuff in the way. You have to spend a long time moving stuff to get at it. I am still scared of it. I think I have to get rid of it or BFF needs to teach me how to use it.I know I won't be able to learn how to use it on my own. (I wish I were making this up).

See if this works. This gives me such anxiety and Quickutz told me to probably change the blade. They thought it was dull when I talked to them. See how there are 2 pieces there? Yeah I don't know how to put the grey thing on the black thing. And what does the red dot on #4 mean? I am going to finish this post and close it. I don't know how to deal with this. I hate that thing so much.

My scrappy randomness: Decided I am more a scrapper than a card maker - Chrsitmas cards - ok. Every other style of card - not ok. Spent quite a bit at SSS - waiting for that order to come Have quite a bit in my cart on another online site...thinking, thinking, thinking.... Put a layout together, but not glued anything down, cos the light in my room sucks, and not sure if it looks ok until tomorrow Decided that I needed to put my albums in year/date order, instead of completing a layout and putting it in an album - that will take me the best part of this year, lol Watched oodles of youtubes - and have got inspired to scrap - however, light in my room sucks, and I'm back at work, even suckier...
