Pink. Flamingos. Pineapples. Popsicles. Broken record for me. Will be passing...again. (This is beginning to make my January freeze very easy.) See it all here (ACOT pre-order). Here are a few pieces.

I'm still working on my honeymoon album, which was in Hawaii, so I definitely see a few things that would work really well for that.

some of the patterns are sort of cute, but I'm confused at how popsicles, pizza, and flamingoes go together.
And it really does look the same as so many previous collections. Isn't there anything new and different out there?

This looks way too youthful for me. And I'm not that old. I'm scrapping two teen girls and still wouldn't use this. I like the orange stripe and the floral but the rest...I wouldn't use it. I'm never drawn to Amy Tan, though.

Although most of it is not my taste, I will say though, that her brand is very consistent.

I tend to agree - it's a very juvenile look...I think my daughter's friends (she's 10) would love it - she wouldn't but she's a spaceship/Lego/football/science/primary colours sort.

Earlier this year Dear Lizzy had the "Happy Place" line which I loved and bought, it had similar icons/colors so I don't need any more so I am passing on this collection.
So far I don't see anything that will tempt me from my January freeze, though I will admit last week I Pre-ordered some of the new Doodlebug. My tween is really into Starbucks and also Kawaii faces/icons so their Sugar and Cream collection was right up my alley.

Looks like a collection marketed to 5-10 year old girls or if one were scrapbooking photos of that age group in a very lighthearted juvenile manner.

What does "you do you" mean? I must be out of touch. Never heard that before and honestly have no idea.
And just saw "so jelly". Really? How would I use that!!!

I like it but a) it's very similar to the Oasis line coming out under the AC umbrella and b) I have a pineapple stamp set that I can get similar effects with.
It's nice to look at stuff and not NEED it.

My husband's second job is as a pizza delivery driver. I may need a couple pieces of paper just to record that here and there. I tend to buy pizza related things on occasion because of him. Other than that...there are a few patterns I like and I'm happy she's gone back to bolder colors versus everything being watercolored (and getting paler and paler each release) but overall, I'm disappointed in all of the releases that I've seen so far. American Crafts is appealing to me less and less. The scary part is that my kit club is based off of a release every month and that means I have to hold my breath and hope that it's not based on the lines that I really don't like. Holding out hope for Pinkfresh, Elle's Studio, and Bella Blvd...maybe even Echo Park but what I've seen so far (while better than what I've seen from AC) isn't blowing my mind, either. Maybe I've finally reached the point where I have more than enough and that's why I'm spending more on stamps (not as well represented as most everything else).

I love the bright colors (except half of it has pink in it). We go somewhere tropical every year, so I could definitely use it. We always find flamingos wherever we go, so they don't bother me either. Not a fan of pizza or emoji paper though. You do you is one of the best insults ever. It has the same connotations as Bless her heart. It can be meant as an insult or as a means of support. Jelly is just a shortened form of jealous and I have seen that for years on inappropriate cartoons.

What does "you do you" mean? It means, Do what works for you. And just saw "so jelly". Really? How would I use that!!! I have no idea. It's so ridiculously childish. You do you means you do what you think is best for you. Yup. You do you is one of the best insults ever. It has the same connotations as Bless her heart. It can be meant as an insult or as a means of support. Huh. Learn something new every day. I didn't know it was used as an insult.

I can completely pass on this line. The only paper I could even remotely see using is the camera one, because I can't pass up a camera to save my life. nicolep sums it up perfectly: Broken record, indeed.

Glad the colors are bright, but may look for this one in paper pad form in 6 months at Tuesday morning!

People sometimes use it as a way to tell someone their way is stupid. I worked in an elementary school and the kids used it that way to show disdain for something. I always tell my sons "You do you, Booboo." They just roll their eyes. They are so jelly.

I'm a bit concerned too about the kit clubs. I subscribe to a couple and have considered cancelling over fears I will end up with much of these new releases. I like to use up what I buy right away, don't like lots of bulk sitting around (although still after 17 years of scrapbooking, I have more than I would prefer) and much of what I'm seeing is just flat out ugly and unpleasing to the eye. Maybe I should take a year off and only buy sparingly until better colors and designs roll back around. This year has got to be the worst set of new releases I have seen in many years. Hoping maybe in real life, it's not as bad as it looks on the screen.

I actually really like this one, but I haven't like much of anything else being released
Last summer I got a hipkit and I just hated the products in it, it turned me off the idea of non exclusive kit clubs ever since. American crafts items have really gone down hill in my opinion

I'm not generally an Amy Tan fan but the white background with floating shapes on it really looks like kid art work. The line definitely fits it's name: on a whim I put on my sunglasses (I am one hot mama), ate some popsicles, pizza and one hotdog, went to the beach house? and saw one shiny flamingo who said "you do you to a flock of swans which made me LOL. Then I took some photos with my pink camera and I laughed, smiled, winked, smiled, laughed, smiled, winked, smiled over and over while purchasing some crazy new type of pineapple.
The only thing missing to complete the story is "best day ever."

Saving my money on this one, not one piece do I fancy. Agree with the others, looks liked it is marketed to a 7 year old.

wtf: what.the.fug
And since it looks like 7 year old artwork, I'll use my DD's favorite word at age 7: vomitrocious. Looks very phoned-in and no I'm not jelly.
