...and there is no way in all of hell that you would see me crossing it. I already get all hot and sweaty if I have to cross the Sunshine Skyway Bridge (supposedly one of the longest or highest suspension bridges, I can't remember which one...) but this bridge in China? Not ever going to happen. Never, ever, NEVER. check out this bridge

I love crossing bridges. I have to cross one almost every day & love it.
When I was last in St. Petes, Clearwater area, I went over the Sun Bridge a few times every day, simply because I could.
I was on the Brenner Pass in Switzerland in the early 1970's, when it was new - fantastic! And the one in Chilon. Engineering at its best.

No way, NO WAY!
There would be a line of traffic behind me at the start too because I would be frozen solid and unable to function let alone drive.

I will drive totally out of my way to use one of the other bridges to avoid the skyway bridge. Or make someone else drive so I can ride with my eyes closed moaning softly about plummeting to my death into salty tomb. lol

I was on the Brenner Pass in Switzerland in the early 1970's, when it was new - fantastic! And the one in Chilon. Engineering at its best. But the Europa Bridge along the Brenner pass is only about 620 ft off the ground unlike this one in China at 1854ft. It didn't bother me either over the Europa but this one....Oh no!

I probably could. I dislike heights but manage them by just keeping my eyes on the road. We have some overpasses here that are just ridiculously high for overpasses (nothing like that bridge, obviously, but if you're afraid of heights it doesn't really matter if it's ten stories or two hundred). I just keep my eyes right on the road in front of me, and don't look left or right.

I think I would be OK with that because you are technically driving on a level surface. The bridges I can't handle are the ones that are super steep and/or have sharp banked turns at the top.
There's a bridge on I-10 between New Orleans and Slidell, Louisiana that I had to cross several times during a recent job. After the second week, I found a different route from the airport. I basically got off the freeway for a while, then got back on immediately after the bridge.

Sure - I walked across this one - it was the highest bridge in the world from 1929-2001.

Crossing it at night gives me the creeps. The steep ones with sharp, banked turns - that's how we do flyover overpasses here in Houston. As you're driving upward it looks like you're going to go off the end into nothing because you can't see the road after the sharp turn. I literally have to focus only on the road right in front of me and sing "Just keep driving, just keep driving," Dory-style, to manage them.

The Sunshine Skyway Bridge scares the bejeebers out of me too. Last time I crossed it (as a passenger - obviously! ), I deliberately looked down at my feet the whole time. Until the satnav caught my eye and all I saw was a thin yellow line with no land around it and the dot of my car moving precariously along the line.

I don't think the Skyway is one of the longest suspension bridges. Maybe it's because I travel a lot, but it's a really short bridge compared to many I've been on.
Bridges don't bother me. We''be done the Gold Gate on a Trolley once 😂There's also several insanely long suspension bridges on delaware that give you lots of time to think 😂

Would be a mess if I had to drive over it, or any high bridge, but could probably handle riding as a passenger - depending on who is driving!

No way! And I thought crossing the New River Gorge Bridge was bad. When I was a teenager and in even in my early 20's, I loved crossing this bridge. But sometime in my 30's, it stopped being enjoyable. Now I can't stand it. If DH is driving, I make him get in the left lane as far from the edge as possible. And then I hold my breath. If I'm driving, I white-knuckle it across the bridge looking straight ahead. We only have to travel that way once or twice a year to visit my family in WV, thankfully.

Nope, no way, no how! I just showed DH the picture and he said well there's one bridge you won't go over. Low bridges, no problem. Sunshine Skyway and the new bridge in Greenville, MS over the Mississippi River, hate them!

It is confusing, but from what I am reading it is one of the longest suspension bridges, not longest bridge-bridge bridges. ( ) It is approximately 12,000 feet longer than the Golden Gate Bridge. Either way? I avoid it like the plague.

Oh, Hell no. Just watching the video gives me hives. #relatable I have only been on the Sunshine Skyway once, as a child, and I'm still scarred. I'd love to go to Mackinaw but I'm scared of freaking out on the way over. When we went to Minnesota we had to take a different way home bc a bridge in Duluth freaked me out. I'm rambling but I hate bridges.

Could be my google-fu skills are subpar?? (that would be my vote anyway...just today I couldn't fix a simple computer problem and google wanted me to do all kinds of resetting stuff, can't find a stupid pattern of contact paper I know I saw, and ... there was something else I can't remember. And that is all before lunch time. )
