I scrap Project Life monthly and last night I was going over which pictures I need to print for November. (I print at home and don't want to print extra pictures that I don't need). And I realized I was missing a couple pictures in my "to be printed" folder. I had specific ideas for those pictures and had forgotten to write down the ideas. Which got me thinking . . . When I work on my layout for a month, I don't match everything to each other. I view each pocket as it's own layout. So I had the realization that I could work on my pictures as I go, and not wait until I did the whole month at one time. For example, I took a selfie yesterday and now I have an idea of how I want to scrapbook that picture for my January Project Life. I can print the photo right away and scrapbook the photo/card while I'm thinking of the idea. Instead of waiting. {Light bulb moment!!} I love it when an ideas comes together.

I can definitely see the fun of working with your most recent photos, playing around with them and getting that pocket just the way you want it.
I don't do PL, but I often know the instant my camera clicks that THIS is a photo I will be scrapping! But I take lots of photos, and choosing just which ones make the cut is sometimes a difficult task. I print at WM at the kiosk, and when I have a large group of photos, I take quite a lot of time going through them there, choosing which photos I will print in which sizes, knowing that I will not make the final choice until the page(s) come together. So basically, I take more photos than I print and print more than I use.
When I get to the scrappy part, I go through all the photos I have printed on that topic and decide which and how I will use. Sometimes what I thought would be a single page morphs into four pages...
How many pages do you usually put together for a month? Or are some months have more pages than others?

I've been known to upload a couple of pictures to Walgreens if I'm really excited to scrap them, so I definitely know the feeling warrior1991. I hate the thought that the idea might fade as the days go by. It's a really good idea!

If I have extra pictures, like I will for Thanksgiving, I put a small pocket page in the middle as an insert. For my regular scrapbooking, I do the same thing as you. I print all the pictures of what I'm going to scrapbook, knowing I won't use them all. But those pictures I order online, and I always get them for a penny a picture. The PL ones I do at home and am more selective to save on ink.

Thanks for tips. I've haphazardly maintained my version of project life while doing minimal scrapping. My goal this year is to put more effort into the scrap part, like Inised to do.

I don't do a lot of PL spreads but would like to make it more of a focus this year.
