Don't be jealous, but I face my HVac and water heater. My house has an abnormally large and unfinished utility room that was unutilized space. I am pretty sure it was the original owners workshop. I painted a huge workbench and peg boards purple, laid down a carpet remnant and now call it my crafty cave. I love it! The set up is not perfect facing the furnace, but everything is behind me by the walls in a big u shape, so I can easily spin and wheel on my chair to grab what I need and I feel like my supplies are all with in arms reach. I have considered asking the hubby to remount the tv, but that will be a big project and I am not convinced I need the distraction in front of me. At least now, I can just keep it on for background noise.

I use one end of our living room. I face the room, so I can see the TV and out the window. I can also yell down to the family room to DH, ha ha.

My desk faces the room. With my TV in the corner and the dvd bookcase, sliding door and treadmill in front of me

I use a kitchen island because I'm primarily a stand up scrapper, although I do also have a counter height stool I sometimes use. I can use either side, but I generally stand so that Im' looking into the room and my back is to the corner. I have two sets of Jet Max cubes and an Expedit that make an L into the corner behind where I stand and I'm facing the opposite corner of the room, if that makes sense. I do have a window, though. It's a basement room, so the window mostly looks out at grass and the bottom half of some bushes, but at least I get some natural light.

Mine is a u shape. I normally scrap facing the middle of the room and to my back is a window.

The spare room where mine is has a big loft opening that looks down into the living room. I can see the TV and still feel like part of the family from my perch upstairs. If I had a choice, though, I'd rather have 950nancy's view of NORAD!

Spectacular! Let me know when you're hosting the next Refupeas Scrapbook Retreat. I'll be there. Your studio is beautiful, too. Really nice set up!

Spectacular! Let me know when you're hosting the next Refupeas Scrapbook Retreat. I'll be there. Your studio is beautiful, too. Really nice set up! I have changed the colors since the pictures in 2009 to a lighter deep red and cream wall with black accents. Toss in a little teal. But thank you very much!

I love hearing about and/or seeing peAples' scrapbook spaces! 950nancy ....omg---that view !!! And your room is lovely, too! I didn't want to face the wall, so my table is a few feet away from it. I made the table skirt out of a canvas painter's cloth, and it's just glued to a plain, regular ole' table. I love that the skirt hides A LOT of stuff---mostly very MESSY! There's also enough room for a friend or 2 to pull up a chair on the other side----ummmm .....AFTER I clear a bunch of stuff off! Most of my paper is next to my chair in 'Cropper Hoppers' (remember those?) that aren't visible when you enter the room. There's also several plastic storage units full of scraps, stamps, inks, TONS of 'Jolee's Boutique', stickers, etc, etc. that also aren't visible. Oooooh, this thread is making me wanna go in there and scrap scrap scrap! I don't scrapbook very often like I used to, but I DO still make LOTS of cards. I've always called my scrapbook room my "happy space". Ohhhhh, I used to practically "LIVE" in there when I scrapbooked all. the. time. With that same canvas painting cloth (I got from 'Lowes'), I also had enough fabric left to cover the top (yes...ONLY the top...LOL!) of my chair, and to cover the ottoman so that it all matched. The couch cover was from Walmart, and the curtains and rug were from Target.

I face the window/ wall. I have a larger window to my left and a a table that folds down from the wall on my right. I like facing the window and being able to watch the weather and having the lighting.

Mine faces the wall with the window to my side. I usually get really great sunlight in the mornings. Love my set up.

Half of the bonus room is my craft room. The other half is a TV room. My desk is right behind the couch so I face out towards the couch and TV and there are windows on the wall the TV is on. It works for me as I do like to watch TV some when I scrapbook.

Window. I like looking out to see who is out there. I also like the light coming in.

This is an awful panorama (I think I was panning too fast lol) but you'll get the idea. My room has lots of windows and it faces our back property. It was originally a walkout sunroom off the basement. It is definitely a work in progress and I am in the middle of organizing so please don't judge my mess lol.
