When I saw the thread about what we are facing behind our desks, I at first thought it was about what we see when we look AT our desk(s). I face a pile of Christmas papers and embellies and scraps I am keeping out until I get my pic's printed. And a couple of ziplock bags I pulled different collections out and haven't put back yet. Also the cuttings from 9 pages completed this week. Really need to separate those into trash or into "usable scrap" bins by colour. iheartpaper suggested cutting some into shapes, but then I am never sure where to store the shapes, and then can never find the ones I want when I "need" just that shape and colour. Better to save the scraps and then cut shapes when I will be able to use them. Also need to put away my paints and tools from an earlier foray into art journaling. In other words, I face a MESS almost any direction I look. At times like these I usually make the choice to just get messy myself and continue crafting or clean it all up for the next go round. Trouble is I have no energy today to do either, so I may just walk out of here and close the door... What do YOU face on your desk today?

My desk is clean...my kids decided to clean it off for me yesterday so they could have a Barbie fashion show. Yeah, they took everything on the desk and set it where ever else in the room they could find space. So today's first scrappy task is to put all my stuff back!

My desktop is half clean. The other half is waiting for me to build my Costco cart to hold mixed media and card-making items. They were displaced from their home when I reorganized the craft closet. It's a constant battle, isn't it?

My desk is mostly clean. It's cluttered on the little shelf extension. No matter how hard I try, I can't seem to get that shelf to stay clean! I've been working on cleaning up after each and every layout. Last night, I did three pages and cleaned up each time. It seems to be working well for me. After a month, it's still mess free.

I use a folding table. When in use, it faces the entertainment center in my living room.

My desk is a storage place at the moment. I don't scrap in my scrapbook room though. So if you'd like to call the living room floor my "desk" at the moment I have a crate of Clique Kit stuff that needs to be hauled back to the scrapbook room today. Yesterday DH brought it out here so I could organize what came in the mystery boxes yesterday with what I had gotten on Black Friday/Cyber Monday. A lot of it coordinated so I bumped up those kits a bit. I made a 8.5x11 page for my first page in my 52 stories album out of a bit of it. It's above my weight limit so DH will move it back today.
Everything I need for my December Documented is also on my floor. It really should be on the table DH set up for me in the living room, but eventually it finds its way back to the floor, so I didn't put it away last night. I know it seems silly, but I work best on the floor or bed with everything spread out around me. I'm like a three year old playing on the floor...lol. Luckily it all cleans up easily.

I have a partial 2-page layout on my desk...and the album it goes into. 3 packs of page protectors (buy 2 get 1 at the office store - I'm an 8.5x11 scrapper...that's 300 total and will last me a long time)
Also a bag from Michaels with 2 boxes of photo squares...
a small pile of glow bracelet packs and a phase 10 game I bought yesterday for Tuesday's GS meeting - I really need to find a spot to put stuff like that.
Oh and 2 shirts that need to be returned and a tie I need to wrap...

I have a 4x4 counter height table that I bought at Staples. It does fold- both leaves inward. There is a very large drawer underneath that houses my pens and extra adhesive.
My space is in the upstairs loft. I have a huge picture window and a counter height surface that spans the stacked cubes that holds my paper on the east side of the room. The table is in the center of the loft. I can stand at the table and overlook the downstairs or out the huge western facing windows into my garden. It's just a beautiful space. I am very lucky!

I was prepping for a crafty day with friends so there are ink pads, stamp sets, dies, card stock and Copic markers scattered among the Big Shot, Procision paper cutter, adhesive, rolls of washi and other bits of card making goodness cluttering my table.

I have the container my Christmas kit was in and the last few paper scraps that I'm going to add to my 2016 PL kit. If they don't get used in the 6-8 weeks I have left to complete in that album they'll go to the bin. I have a pile of ephemera that didn't make it into my DD album which I'll also keep until my PL is finished.
I have little piles of other stuff on top of my drawers which live permanently on my desk: a PL mini kit that I was using before Christmas took over, an AE kit that I either need to use or break down, an alpha that I need to put away, three little dishes of small random embellishments that I need to consolidate into one (which will probably happen after I finish the PL album as I hope to use a lot of them up), a stamp set and some chipboard embellishments that I've been using a lot recently, some new to me mists and washi that I want to use at least once before I put them away, and some new ribbons for my typewriter that I want to try but need to clean off the typewriter first.

I have a box with a felicity jane kit, other than that it is my normal things I use - an organizer with new embellishments I want to use, a box with adhesives and enamel dots, my atg and trimmer. Need to get in there and play!

My scrapbooking/ card making table is a compleeeeete NIGHTMARE!!!!!! Loose photos, pens, scissors, chalks, Christmas & Hanukkah cards I never finished , RIBBON----lotsss of ribbon because I was searching for the perfect colors/ patterns for the cards I DID make. Allll topped off with a loose layout that I want to finish, but I'm still figuring out which photos I want to use, where to put the journaling, title or no title, etc......

Ugh, piles of just about everything I started an after Christmas project, didn't have time to finish and haven't put it away. I also have some of my Christmas card stuff out. Today I put my ink cubes in containers, but I'm not sure if I like them. So there they sit, next to other stuff. I worked on my desk a bit today (the inks and some stamps) and will work on it some more tomorrow.

The layout and album are still there but I put the rest away....as well as 2 punches, 3 stamps, and an ink pad that were buried

My trimmer and my mat live on my work surface, which is a butcher block topped island. I also have a set of acrylic paints, some mists and some stamps still sitting out from my last project. My PL album lives on top of an Expedit bookshelf and it stays open to where I'm working in it, which is currently November for 2016. I need to do the journaling for November and then print my pics for December. I have some for about the first two weeks, but I'm ready to finish out the month and call 2016 done! I have an order with supplies for my 2017 PL due in from scrapbook.com any day now!

Ha ha, do I really have to say?!? It's a HUGE mess right now, I haven't cleared it off in months. I have a stack of crap that is no lie a foot tall on one whole side of the front of my desk. I need to spend some time cleaning up but I' really not feeling motivated to do it. Heck, I still have a couple Christmas presents to mail!

I don't have anything on my desk right now... I finished up a project last week and now I'm debating on what to start next... probably a Christmas layout while it's still fresh in my mind.

My desk isn't too bad at the moment. Just a PL core kit box and my 6x8 album that I'm using them in along with a pad and pencil where I jotted down the pictures I forgot to print yesterday.
When I work on regular 12x12 pages I am a VERY messy scrapper. I can't work in a jumble of mess unless the mess is related to what I'm working on. Therefore, I have to clean my desk after every layout or I can't start another.
When I moved into what became the spare room after DS moved out I was so excited to have a desk instead of a kitchen table and a room where I could close the door and leave whatever I was working on as is. But alas, I can't bring myself to do that. It's the "sunny room" and the animals love it. There are usually at least 2 of the 4 in there at any given time and the cats really like the desk because it faces the window. The dogs usually take the daybed/couch or the sunny spot on the floor.
They are a trifle spoiled and I just feel too guilty barring them from entry. Also, I do love it when they share the space with me while I scrap.

My table is not too bad. My laptop is open bc I want to use my silhouette more. There's about three or four packs of embellishments I don't know what to do with so they float from one side of the table to the other, plus my trimmer and jar with most used tools.
