My younger brother ( that got all the camping/outdoor genes) used to work at a company doing dog sled tours in Algonqion........ They do/did tours from a few hours to days....... Worth checking out if you loved Algonquin in the winter... Must admit I only braved a few hours

Your pictures are amazing! I could maybe winter camp in a yurt. Our state parks system has a handful of campgrounds with yurts and we've talked about trying one. We usually tent camp. DH & I went in November and while daytime temps were up to 65, 40 is cold in a three season tent without a heater. Those were the temps in northern MN when we went tent camping Memorial Day weekend when our kids were small. It reminded me why I prefer a hotel. tallgirl That looks amazing. What fun! |
