I love my "sisters" willow that I got from my sister. It's two girls who look like they are starting to "patty cake". I also cherish my "Thank You" willow that I received from my friend, who died of breast cancer. It was to thank me all helping her out through her battle.

It's not a piece that I have, but a friend has it and it's only my favorite because of the story attached to it. It's one of a mother holding her child. I need to get one like it. This friends daughter was very sick when she was much younger. In the hospital for a month, chest tube, and at one point her heart stopped. When she was better and back home she was going through her mother's willow Tree fugures and naming them using her own names. She came to the mother and child one and said 'and this is my Jesus holding me when I was sick'. Friend is kind of stunned and asks her to repeat what she said. Again she said "This is my Jesus holding me when I was sick. He told me I had to come back so you wouldn't be sad, Mommy". Oh my goodness. Suffer the little children.

I have a few pieces, but I love the one I have that is the little boy holding the balloon that says Hope. We went thru years of secondary infertility and my son asked over and over when was he going to get his baby brother. He did when he was almost 5. Now they are 7 & 12 and while not the best of buddies somedays, I love when I catch a glimpse of them hanging out together and being kind.

Wisdom, the girl reading a book I have a grouping of several that belonged to my sister. They now surround her picture.

I've loved reading every post QueenoftheSloths....wow---what a pawsome vet you had! I LOVE our vet, and he is VERY kind, but I can't imagine getting a figurine from him. I might get the girl holding the sweet doggie for myself, and a few of the lovely people in our Bulldog Rescue Group. DH and I recently lost the sweet elderly doggie we adopted only 10 months ago ; and.....sadly, TOO MANY of the doggies that come into our rescue die much too soon.
