So it is really hot where I am in south Australia...really hot...38-42 Celsius hot. Today after dinner I decided that it was too hot to scrap but perfect to purge! I seriously removed 2 inches of patterned paper! I now have 1expedit cubby of 12x12cardstock, 1 cubby of patterned paper sheets and 1/2 cubby A4 card stock for card-making. I also reduced to 12 6x6 pads.
All my 12 x12 paper and card stock is stored in those 12x12 pages in progress folders so probably if I just had the paper it would only fill 1/2 the cubby but I like to be able to flick through and choose and have the paper protected,so I don't have to worry about bending or finger marks.
Interestingly ,most of what I purged was basic grey and 7 gypsies and K and co...lots of grungy, distressed or very swirly abstract "florally "stuff I have been scrapping since 2001 so some of it is v-e-r-y old.
On a lucky note I did find a lot of lovely older collections that are not pink..... Dapper Dan and Finley from Glitz, Chap from AC ( wish I had some more of that) and a travel line by Heidi Swapp.
I think the oldest thing I found was a HOTP pad of papers called " yummy " with photos of jellybeans and chocolate chips!! Still might use some of that!! Cool change coming tonight so tomorrow night is looking good!

camcas I always loved the Chap line! I found it at a LSS that was closing and bought everything they had at 50% off. It is one of my favorites of all time.

Awesome work, I have been meaning to get in and get rid of all those older papers that I will never use again and maybe get the kids making envelopes with them. Love looking back through my papers and finding the ones that are like "yes" I love this and can't wait to use you and the "nope" what were we all thinking with that one, lol.
Also, yes how hot has it been. I am in Brisbane and it was a stinker today, I had no kids and was supposed to be cleaning the house but just sitting on the couch and I was a sweaty mess. I ended up closing everything up turning on our very sad and underpowered aircon and went into work for the aircon, wifi and free coffee.....much better option that melting into a puddle on the lounge.

Doesn't it feel good to purge? Personally I couldn't have parted with the BG but that's one of my bigger collections that I have sorted alphabetically and I still really like it.
Someone asked yesterday if I wanted to donate to some crafty nuns (yes, as in Sisters ) so I packed up a box and sent it off this morning. And last weekend I brought a box of supplies to another friend. Since I have a smallish size room it's great to pass along some things so I don't get too crowded.

Yes...I completely agree...great colours ,good patterns ,really useful. OA rocket age....all the B sides...probably has my heart for all time fave but I think Chap is a close second, then maybe Dapper Dan from Glitz but not the moustaches!

Yay! Good for you! Hopefully seeing all your papers will inspire you when you do feel like scrapping I'm another who LOVED Chap. Such a great, versatile collection. Mine is sadly mostly gone. But I have bits here and there in my scraps!
