Just got back to London today so the weather was overcast for a few days but still had a lovely time!

I think sometimes the manufacturers are trying too hard to come up with something unique to appeal to a clientele they view as artistic. Problem is that they sometimes overthink it. And then other companies don't want to miss even a tiny niche so they grab anything new and run with it. I don't have a donut stamp, or a pineapple one, and I am pretty sure I won't buy a croissant one either. Ditto. That's kind of like the llamas I'm seeing in the new releases. I don't have a clue why or when I would have a use for a llama. The same for me when it comes to random things like popsicles or even feathers. I absolutely LOVE llamas and want to put them on everything. I totally get they're not for everyone. I would have no use for a donut or pineapple, but I'm sure there are plenty of people who would.

The same for me when it comes to random things like popsicles or even feathers. Llama is a thing. It's on graphic tees and has been in a few sayings. I have no clue what they are because I'm not a hipster...but it's a thing. If only WWF could make an endangered species a social media hit or something slang could be made with it that caught on, it would serve a purpose other than being cool and trendy. Yes, llamas are a thing. DD was very excited to find llama Christmas wrap this year, although she insisted that they are alpacas. I would buy llama (alpaca) stuff because DD's favorite zoo animal has always been the alpacas.

Yeah, not sure about that croissant. As for the llama, I must admit I am a themed scrapper, so cute as it is, unless I have zoo photos, it isn't something I would use. I did buy a pineapple from Silhouette. We visited Dole when we were in Hawaii, so I made a big one, cut it in half and put one piece on each page of the layout. Will I ever use it again? Probably not. I tend to be very literal, so you won't find a lot of mustaches, flowers (I have boys), foxes, porcupines (my friend collected those cute stamps from Stampin' Up) on any of my pages. I know, I know. I have no vision, lol. That's me! It's more of an I don't want to overthink the page. I take a lot longer doing non-themed pages.

What about octopi (or how do you say more than one octopus?)? The new TH stamps have one. And now there they are on the new BoBunny pp line. Not cute ones.

People always say they want something new, so there you go! I do have pictures of llamas. I also have great pictures of sloths and pooping howler monkeys. My animal photography widely varies. We are planning a Costa Rica trip this summer, so bring on the unusual animals. One of my favorite pictures (of content) I took in the dark was of a GIANT bullfrog sitting right next to a crab. You know that bullfrog was going to eat that crab. I believe I saved a life that night. You definitely need monkeys and toucans for your Costa Rica album! And LIZARDS! And bananas! And pineapples! Not sure you will need a croissant, though. Sorry! There's a toucan in echo parks new summer fun collection

I don't get cactus icons or flamingos. I do not get the cactus thing either. I do have two photos from the botanical gardens from the cactus gardens, that is the only layout that I would ever likely use anything cactus print. The Flamingos however are my jam, I have flamingo everything in my home from garden ornaments, light up ones, clothing, kitchen stuff and even fluffy stuffed ones but they are my thing and I do get how they are a difficult icon to work with.

Here is the latest Taylored Expressions die/stamp set alpaca my birthday hat Not really an alpaca or llama fan, but that is a cute saying! Puts the croissant further down the list... Apparently there is a big following here for 4H kids working with llamas. This guy who is in charge of the llama group keeps 12-15 of them at his farm so the kids can show them. Who knew it was a thing in Minnesota?

I don't have a donut stamp, or a pineapple one, and I am pretty sure I won't buy a croissant one either. That is the sort of image I would use a sticker for - or cut an image with my die cutter. I don't buy one-time use stamps (or dies for that matter). That said...I can't see me using a croissant or a doughnut or a llama even ONCE. I do have (and use) a QK pineapple die BUT I bought it knowing that it would be used multiple times and it has been. (and no, not on fruit related pages - I use it with photos from colonial port cities...Newport, Savannah, St Augustine... I DONUT know what you people are talking about. I could use the heck out of a donut stamp! I just saw a bunch of cute Valentines made with donuts on them. And now I want a donut. And a new Dunkin' Donuts just opened about thirteen miles from here. Not like I Googled it or anything... There goes my diet lifestyle change!

I use donuts on cards - "Hello, friend" types of things. I also have a pineapple stamp and die set. Pineapples have a personal meaning to me (from something that happened years ago), and I think of them as a good luck charm - I'm fond enough of them to invest in some images. Llamas and croissants? Notsomuch.

I don't get cactus icons or flamingos. This and donuts! I live in snow country though. I would totally take llamas (My kids received handmade stuffed ones for Christmas from a family friend.) and croissants (I speak French with my kids). It's true finding a good croissant here is tough. The concept of flaky eludes most US bakers, except the bakers from Europe! I live near a culinary institute so I can find them here. Too bad I have to stick to eating gluten free!

Didn't Hero Arts recently have an ocean themed set with an octopus and then put out a whole octopus set itself? With dies to match? I thought that was weird.
My friend and her sister love llamas. They send each other llama cards but try to find hat or other accessory stamps to fit the llamas. I think that's part of the fun for them. And, actually, they've been doing this for more that 10 years. I bet they would have loved the llamas icons that are coming out now!
I could never use all of the bike images in past lines. Or typewriters. I could use a few, but they seemed to be on everything! and I just couldn't seem to use them.

I think it was at TJ Maxx or Marshall's. Totally awesome...because what says Christmas more than llamas??? I'm totally down with flamingos and pineapples because I live in Florida and these are pretty ubiquitous to this region. Donuts...not so much but I do love them. Apparently a lot, since I woke up a few days ago in the midst of a dream where I was wearing a shirt that said, "I went to hell craving donuts." It was a WTF morning, for sure.

Then when I have a series of biking photos, I can't seem to find one bike in my stash! ( of course they all show up again when the search has ended...)

If I get the llamas I would have to go to the llama farm that I see the blue sign for fairly locally. Or raise them - yikes! Feathers are great on outdoor pages. We always have feathers laying around the farm.

We should start a poll....last stamp on earth...do you buy the llama or the croissant Well, If I have to get one, I was going to say croissant because it should take up less room. And then, this happened.... Here is the latest Taylored Expressions die/stamp set alpaca my birthday hat Not really an alpaca or llama fan, but that is a cute saying! Puts the croissant further down the list... llama wins!

If I buy the croissant stamp, can I use it as my excuse fly to France and eat delicious croissants? 🥐😍 We spent a week in Paris at a small hotel. Every morning we would go downstairs into the little eating area and they would have fresh croissants and meats at every table for starters. My boys remember those breakfasts more than any other meal. While it might seem an extreme amount to spend just to use the croissant stamp, I wold highly recommend it.

The next night, the waiter found my son and slipped it to him. He wore it to prom later that year. The album I made of that trip had tiny pineapple on most of the pages.
