If you use this for your Rx, and get the Rx mailed to your home---are you happy? Is the company "giving you fits?" Right now, I am NOT impressed with the company.
The rules changed (don't they always?) for my insurance company and I have to go through mail order or pay $10 more per Rx....beginning January 1.
So, we supplied all the data, and entered my husband's first Rx to them. He is diabetic and has about 10 Rx. I have only 1 that I take on a regular basis.
We gave 2 weeks for the "turnaround" ---wrong. Their emails about when to expect the drugs indicated it would not SHIP until the 14th, making an interruption in med.
So, I entered mine --and it is going to ship in about 20 days!! (good grief, 3 weeks!)
--His Rx was delivered yesterday --along with an invoice, even though they have a Credit card on file. I went online to see if something happened to the CC number, and the online info indicated MY Rx was now 'co-mingled" with HIS Rx requests. I called and service rep told me that would not happen, we had two separate accounts--and in midst of our conversation, she realized she could see my Rx listed on his list of medications. She said, "May I put you on hold so I can tell my supervisor etc." ---I was on hold at least 30 minutes. At one point I thought to myself, "How long am I willing to hold?" --- It is supposed to be cleared.
At this point, I am wondering how much drama we will have every 90 days. Some of the Rx we can put on automatic refill, but not the insulin as that need varies.
Will it get better?

Wow. I was forced to start using them for the same reasons, and they haven't messed anything up for me.

For years, I have had great disdain with this company. Forced to use them and it is always one issue or another.

Yes it will get better. It's the beginning of the year with new plans and new plan members. Shipping times are generally faster. Keep in mind though that some drugs require pre-approval and the 1st order may take longer. Also consider putting the rxs on "auto-fill" That way they will ship in time so you don't run out.

We used them for years, and the final year we used them (around 2012), they were getting awful. So glad we don't have them anymore. Sorry.

I would say it will not get better. I changed my insurance to not deal with them. BC is optional and not critical and they said I would need to wait 90 days between shipments. Because going on and off BC every 3 months is a good thing.

Yes and I agree but Accredo is no better. I've been using Accredo for almost 3 years now and only had one issue that they resolved quickly and shipped the drug overnight,Saturday delivery.

I used them last year for my birth control, they shipped immediately. Must have been easy if they had it in stock.
I did have a minor delay setting up my account, I think they are located in Thailand, every person I spoke to had an accent.

I've used them for about 3 years now. The only issue I've had is my doctor has changed his location about yearly and every time the doc moves offices I have problems but I think it is much an issue on the doctor's end as it is on the pharmacy's end.
The only other problem can be the timing of meds arriving while I travel. I have to remember to ask my neighbor to watch for the delivery sometimes.
I normally get my refills well in advance of needing them. Over all I"m happy with the service. I just hope my doc finds an office he likes and will stay put so his contact information stops changing!

I've had so many issues over the years, especially the last two years. My husband's company changed to CVS Caremark as of January 1. Express Scripts has been terrible getting prescriptions transferred over.

Interesting mixed reviews here. We've used them for the past two years because we have to with our insurance and we've been happy for the most part. My husband has a number of RX and two are super essential and considered speciality drugs. We've never had an issue with things being shipped late.
I hope things get better for you soon. I agree with a previous observation: they might be extra busy right now with the new year.

They are not my favorite. They gave me fits when my 1.5 year old was diagnosed with asthma. the doctors office had to submit additional justification for the inhalers beyond just the prescription. Of course we needed them right away and couldn't wait for the paperwork so I initially paid full price for his first set. Luckily, I have a wonderful pharmacist at Walgreens and she took care of everything and refunded my money once the insurance went through.
We've also had to do the same thing when prescribed zofran.

I only have trouble when I let a RX run out. My Dr only does so many refills between visits, but it's hard to get in to see her on the right schedule. It shouldn't be a problem, I see her twice a year. But it has been a problem a few times. The Dr office also won't take refill requests from the pharmacy. So I think most of my problems have been the Dr office.

We've lots of issues with both. Express Scripts has messed up billing and deliveries. Acreedo was often late with delivering DD's injectable medications and for my drug was billing me instead of the manufacturer's copay assistance program. I hate medication benefits management.

Had them for a while. They were awful. It took forever to get my prescriptions from St. Louis to Boston. Grateful now I can go to the pharmacy for a 90-day supply.

They have been okay except every time I give them my CC to charge it , they send me a bill instead. Annoying. We have to switch now with my new insurance so we will see.

I was never so glad to be rid of a prescription service as the day we no longer had to deal with Express Scripts. They were nothing but trouble. Everything from sending my Rx to DH in another country (where it was confiscated because sending in meds via pouch mail wasn't allowed), to sending another one of my Rx to DD's college address ( a year after she graduated from there). That Rx bounced around between Lubbock, Dallas, El Paso, Las Vegas and Houston for a month. Express Scripts was useless in getting it straightened out. The USPS was helpful though and I finally got my meds. They were mingling accounts (hence the address screw ups) back in 2008. Looks like things haven't improved. I hope your luck improves in dealing with them.

I'm forced to use them or pay a lot more for prescriptions. It annoys me that I have to wait for a mail order instead of using my local pharmacy, even though I was told they were affiliated with the company and the cost would be the same.
It wasn't. I'm looking forward to the day I don't have to use them.
