I am bit bored lately, mostly because I'm depressed and would like some new internet places to visit. Could you tell me 5 sites you like to visit and why.
Here are the ones I frequent
1. 2peas of course
2. Reddit- love the writing prompts- it's like reading a bunch of short stories and r/wtf, because ya know WTF.
3. CBSnews
and really that's it except for facebook. I don't post much really and really don't read it all that much lately either.
Thanks for your help in getting me out of my rut.

1. Oddee.com - list type site with random lists like "top 10 photoshop fails" or "7 awesome large scale pranks"
2. Postsecret.com - a site where people send in postcards with their secrets on them, some are funny, some are tragic, but they're a really interesting peek into people's lives
3. Buzzfeed.com - (mostly the food section), I like their format and have gotten lots of good tips/tricks/lifehacks from there.
4. Craftster.org - crafting website with different boards for all sorts of crafty hobbies like knitting, quilting, polymer clay, stained glass, jewelry, etc.
5. Pinterest - virtual bulletin board where people pin ideas on crafting, cooking, and decorating.

I will be following this thread because I could use some new sites to read as well. Some of the ones I like are:
1. purewow.com
2. Texanerin.com - lots of baking recipes, many of them gluten free and/or healthy
3. CotedeTexas.blogspot.com - great decorating site. She gives a lot of history and background on many subjects, especially tv & movie houses/locations

I visit TVLine.com to see the gossip on my favorite shows. I like it because it is current, doesn't start playing video, and is easy to scroll through.

Mentalfloss.com is filled with fascinating randomness. I read an article yesterday about some guy that has found 83 messages in bottles!

1. Jezebel. Snarky news and entertainment coverage with a feminist perspective.
2. Get Off My Internets -- forums and articles that cover other sites on the internet, primarily blogs.
3. Ravelry -- knitting/crochet/fiber arts site with a gazillion patterns, forums, etc.
And for just a blog to check (although she doesn't update daily) I love Posie Gets Cozy, by Alicia Paulson. She leads a very pretty life of cooking and crafting and running a small business and raising a little girl in Portland, OR.

I really only visit here, Facebook and Pinterest. Facebook often takes me to Buzzfeed or Diply for some fluff articles or funny stuff like "25 funny tweets about xxx" or "28 jokes you won't get if you don't wear glasses" or Summer in the US vs summer in Australia. I used to follow Suri's Burn Book (a woman who writes as Suri Cruise) but unfortunately she stopped posting in May last year. It was very funny.

and this last one is for a very specific audience, jboard.tv , which is a message board for fans of the show jeopardy

Refashionista.net is a fave of mine This gal takes really ugly thrift store clothes that she buys for $1 or less and refashions them The transformation is often incredible. She hasn't posted a lot lately but the Archives are definitely worth a look Attic 24.typepad.com is a crochet blog but she does lots of walking in the U.K. Countryside. She has a lovely welcoming "blog voice" and her archives also worth a look

I love Zooniverse - a citizen science site with a ton of different projects you can contribute to. There are projects for many tastes, from transcribing old documents to identifying animals in camera trap images to astronomy and more. Fun, interesting and useful all at once!

I like This is why I'm broke for all sorts of unusual, often highly desirable items, some of which are still at the prototype stage. I still enjoy Split Coast Stampers, but don't visit as much as I used to. I love to browse Zillow. I look at a different city or area every visit, and choose a nice house to buy (way out of my budget of course!) Dogshaming always gives me a smile. And I can always spend hours on the BBC reading news, magazine articles, browsing recipes, etc

Well, someone here got me hooked on Etiquette Hell and A Bad Case of the Dates. Sometimes the comments are even better than the stories. Lately, ABCofD is more about bad profiles so start reading at the beginning, not now.

I like sporcle.com for the quizzes. My favorite blog is askamanager.org, which is advice on all things job related (from cover letter help to how to deal with the tantrum throwing boss). I also like notalwaysright.com, which are retail stories about bad customers, etc.

Y'all...you are missing one of the fun ones. Check out shopgoodwill.com It is the goodwill auction site. Stores from all over the country put their 'good stuff' online in an auction format. Some stuff is really good (and makes you wonder who exactly donates a two carat diamond wedding set to goodwill?) and some stuff is very perplexing (as in what the hell is that?!?) You will thank me later-after you have wasted HOURS wandering down the virtual aisles.

I just saw some amazing buys, just wish there was a way to make the pictures bigger and find out the condition of the items. Please let me know, I have a few items on a mental wish list.
