Of the original 2 peas. I can't remember their names but I hope they are doing well. Does anyone know?

Jeff & Krisitna White--I don't even know why I know that--random stuff sticks in my head. I could google but I'm lazy....
I have to say that I am grateful for the boards--I do enjoy reading, occasionally commenting. I've learned a lot here and on the old boards, and been well shopping enabled(ha ha).

From what I remember, they weren't overly concerned about us, so I have to admit that I haven't given them a thought since they went.

I thought they had an Etsy store for a while, but don't know if they still do.

Jeff has some other projects going on (I ran into him not that long ago) but he didn't say what Kristina was up to.

I have found myself wondering about them over the years as well.
I clicked on the link that SockMonkey posted and read a post or two. This jumped out at me, and I thought you all might get a kick out of it!

Interesting what she put about the "Pea's" "I started my multi-million dollar online store at only 23. I grew a community of over 500,000 followers and a website that received millions of page views every month. I also started a small side manufacturing business, a small product design house, a couple of small little apparel and lifestyle companies all while raising three children to teenager-hood. After leaving all of this behind, I have spent almost 2 years completely turning my life and my household around. I am an unintentional housewife. I have turned my family into a wellness machine, learning everything that I can about natural medicine, eating whole foods, meditation and wholehearted living. I have divested our home of more than half of our possessions, embracing a more essentialist lifestyle. I basically know how to run a multi-million dollar company that lives entirely online, or I can totally flip a household and make that a rockstar too. I belive in honesty and realness. I always tell it like it is and believe that once we accept and live in our true authentic selves we live a happier existence. "

GIANT eye roll. I won't click on the link. I am not giving them the extra traffic on their blog. Seriously, screw them.

Um, wow.
I did notice she takes a few 'digs' at one of the newest partners with SC (I cant think of their name, but they sold everything to travel around the world with their backpacks.)

Ditto Same, fam. There was something about the tone. I don't know. I wish them well, really. But, her stuff reads as though she's still harboring some anger and resentment. It was a message board (and, I suppose, a not-wonderfully-run business). Being damaged because strangers were mean on the interwebs tells me that they are quite sheltered. There were a lot of wonderful parts of those message boards that they should be proud of. It wasn't all bad. It was a lot of creativity, sharing, fun, and personal support. Their kids look happy and healthy, though, and that is a blessing. Good for them!

Thanks kimpossible Those are some of the exact lines I was choking over.
Building it and then shitting all over those loyal customers. That my opinion anyway. They sure didn't do any favors for the message board followers who called it "home".

I can't speak for her, but that's kind of the impression I get. In reality, they NEVER had popular product in stock, and their prices simply weren't as competitive. They had the best creative piece with the Garden, but they fell victim to that bullshit scrapbook celebrity trap, made it like a shitty sorority where people were backstabbing and talking shit, and that went downhill, too. There was so much potential there, but they needed a business consultant or something. The industry in general also started to go South, as there was such a glut and the trend died down. All of those things contributed to the demise of TwoPeas. I don't think the message board (and let's face it, we're talking bout NSBR here) killed the Bucket.

Wow. For someone who is proud of owning a "multi million dollar" business, she sure is ungrateful to the customers who spent those millions of dollars. Guess they still haven't connected the dots between their attitude toward customers and customers' attitudes toward their store.

Guess they still haven't connected the dots between their attitude toward customers and customers' attitudes toward their store. I never personally experienced any Kristina/Jeff animosity. When I placed orders, they shipped on time and they were in good shape. I think they get demonized a bit more than they deserve, maybe. They were just in way over their heads. She was an artist who decided to open a business. That usually doesn't work out without a LOT of business support, and I'm not sure they had that. Then Kaboose took over and...drama.

Meh, I'm not reading too much into her comments about Two Peas. I get being a little put off by the tone, but I can totally see how that was their experience. I imagine they saw a LOT of shit in their time running the message boards. I know there were times they were woken and had to call police in the middle of the night because people were threatening suicide, there was tons of drama we know about - imagine how much drama there was behind the scenes they had to deal with. They had the ability to see all the ugly underbelly of the board, how people weren't who they said they were, the scams people ran, etc. I can see how that would really sour someone on running an online community and participating online in general. Look at how many of our long-time members were burned by people contacting employers or family members, and how many of them have left because of it.
It sounds like they're doing interesting things they find personally fulfilling and I wish them well. They brought a LOT of value to most of our lives by forming the community we all felt lost without, and why we're all on this board. I have Two Peas to thank for so many good experiences and positive relationships in my life, and most of that is the participants on the community, but it wouldn't exist without them.

Multi million dollar website? They were out of stock everytime I wanted to purchase something. I highly doubt it.
I hope this venture works out for them, but they ran their other business into the ground. They made so many mistakes w/twopeas and I can't imagine they learned from them. I truly wish them well.

I read a couple of the blog entries. I don't know, all that talk about being different, having a different kind of family...it seems like that arrogance thing that is based on desperate lack of self-confidence. The things that were listed as different weren't really all different in the real world-it was more...I don't know...an attempt at a humble brag to get approval.
It kind of was sad in a way.

And, despite my above post defending their comments about Two Peas, let me just say: Damn, her blog is navel-gazing. "This is How We Food" - I just can't even. YOU CARRY WATER BOTTLES AROUND?! AND YOU USE WHITE DISHES?! WHAT A REVELATION! I'M SO GLAD YOU ENLIGHTENED ME.
I wonder if her blog is on GOMI (Get Off My Internets).

I think their blog tag line - where we challenge expected norms and live without limits - is sorta funny after you read a few entries.
In the food post they talk about not eating dairy, sugars, etc. In the Social Media post they talk about limiting which SM platforms their kids are on. They limit what apps the kids have access to.
Kinda contradictory.

Very "try hard." The food post put it over the edge. It's a real attempt to make themselves sound special, when they are just ordinary people. AND IT'S OKAY TO BE ORDINARY. But, there's a desperation to be seen as special or different there that is off-putting.

That was hard to read. I didn't want to click on the link but curiousity got the best of me.
I wish them well but I can't handle blogs about how perfect people are, how their way is the right way. It just sounds like they are very full of themselves. Everything was "I, I, I and "we, we, we".
