Last night I started looking at kit clubs online. One thing led to another and I noticed really cute scrapbook stuff for cruises - but it was all digital. So I had the day off for MLK and spent it signing up to take the Jessica Sprague intro class for digital scrapbooking. But first I needed to download PSE - but first I needed to update the IOS on my iMac - but I couldn't figure it all out so I had to call Apple Support. I spent HOURS on this today.
I did the first tutorial and thought I wanted to try to do something on my own. I found some cute cheap digital paper on Etsy. I tried to buy it but I can't remember my PayPal account info because I haven't used it in years. I try to pay with my credit card and it gets declined. I go check on why it got declined - no reason. UGH, I'm so frustrated! Maybe I'm just not meant to learn this.
Thanks if you got this far.

I hate it when that happens! But sometimes it's a good excuse to get a fresh start with updates, logins, new tools to make life easier moving forward. Look at it as a necessary investment. I hope you get it all worked out.

BTDT with other adventures. It all looks so easy, until you start... I did a few photo collages using templates a few years ago and really thought it was fun, but then with various computer and software changes I couldn't figure out how to do it again. I think I would have to have tech support physically sitting beside me and sometimes literally holding my hand before I would dare venture down that particular rabbit hole again. There are some lovely digi pages out there though...
I hope you get the cc issue figured out.

Been there done that, except not with digital or tutorial stuff. More like I come on line to pay a bill, or look at specifically one item, and then who knows where that could lead me, or what I may purchase that I never intended to.

LOL, scrapbooking is like that sometimes, isn't it?
I hope you get all the things sorted out, and tomorrow is a fresh day to start something new and fun.

My scissors don't need a software upgrade every 2 minutes and my adhesives don't have operating system inconsistencies w/my embellishments. :*)

Yep. Been there done that. But I stuck with it and I love digital scrapping. It took me a long time to master PSE, but I don't regret it at all. Even now when I paper scrap, many of the elements I use are digital. I know digi scrapping is not for everyone, but I really do love being able to combine it with traditional paper scrapping. Opens up a whole new world of supplies!

BTDT--which is why i stick with simple paper scrapping for the time being. Did digital for many years, but it wasn't quite the same satisfaction as paper, and there was all the tech stuff to deal with--can you say HEADACHE??
Hang in there, it will get better.

I did a couple of digital pages years ago on an older MS program, but when that computer died, that program died with it. Just paper for me now!

Ha ha, I can COMPLETELY relate! Wanted to update my business website. So I bought a current version of Dreamweaver. Didn't know how to use it, took a class. Still didn't know how to use it, took two more classes. Kind of got my feet wet, realized I needed new graphics. Took a PSE class. Didn't help. Signed up for a different class, needed different software. Bought the software, went through the class. Kind of helped, sort of. Went back to the Dreamweaver, forgot everything I learned in the classes I took before. Bought three tutorial books, including one with a DVD. Plodded through that. Went back to working on the site. Realized I'm going to have to spend HOURS going through images one.by.one before being at the point where I can update the site. Wishing now I would have just spent $800 having someone else redesign the site two years ago!

All I want is some pretty nautical patterned paper. I've searched and searched and there is no such thing except for in digital land. I've got a silhouette and can make all the embellishments I want. I stopped by M's on my way home from work and didn't buy anything - that has literally never happened before!

Did you see the new cruise line that's coming out (or recently released)? I think nicolep linked it up on another thread here recently. Here's a link to the line at ACOT: Let's Cruise Carta Bella

Thank you Crzy4scraps and Linda for sending me the links to the beautiful paper. I've been pulling my hair out looking for the nautical paper - now I'm going to have enough different styles to do an album for each of the cruises I have been waiting to scrapbook. You guys rock! Thanks again!

I wish I could find the tutorial for pulling in digital scrapbooking kits into Silhouette Studio. It was basically just drag and drop. The papers went into the My Patterns folder (I created sub folders.) and the elements when into My Library (again in subfolders.) Then you can print (and cut) as you like.

That's frustrating. I do both traditional and digital. I'm by no means an expert at PSE. I usually only have issues when I really, really want to do something and have no hubs or kids around, which is rare, but if it happens, then it's guaranteed that something will break or not work - printer, cameo, computer....
