In the leggings thread by Lauren, elaine posted about some shirts on Amazon. Well, I needed some more shirts to go with my Lularoe leggings. I did order up a size. I was so excited I had a pink and an aqua shirt coming. One today and one tomorrow. Well, my pink one came in today and since I have on leggings today I ran to the restroom to try it on. Yes, it fit. Yes, it felt wonderful and the color is lovely. BUT the material is such a material that I don't want my belly bump accentuated not the junk in my trunk so on display. I am doing Whole 30 right now and DH and I will be joining the gym as soon as it gets opened here. Now I am in a quandry of keeping or returning. Oh and the other thing I just thought of, is it is not as long as I want it to be. That's a me thing. I want all of my shirts to be mid-thigh or longer. This just seems to cover all the bits and pieces. So thank you, Elaine for the Amazon tip and these shirts may work for others, but I don't think they will work for me. AND I am so bummed about it too. The price, the feel, the color, they were all just perfect. Just in case you were wondering: The Amazon shirt Made by Johnny this one came today and this one tomorrow

I tend to really oversize my tops - my tops like that don't come close to my body anywhere but my breasts. I also stick to dark colors on top, because I think that my lumps show more in lighter clothing.

I have one of the mjb tunics, in a dark pattern, and it's actually quite flattering.
I think that possibly the light pink just accentuates bulges. But for the price, you could keep it and layer with a light weight cardigan style wrap of the same length.

That shirt would make me look pregnant, especially if worn without a jacket, vest or cardigan. But having shirts that are mid-thigh or longer wouldn't look good on me either (I am short and long shirts accentuate that). I can relate about the fabric, though. Some of the knits really make the skin on my stomach look really wrinkly/not smooth. If I like how it fits otherwise, I will wear a tank underneath to smooth things out.

try wearing it with a tank underneath. I find if a shirt is a little to attracted to my lumps, wearing another layer under it helps.

I was seriously considering ordering a few of those, so thank you for this post.
I'm short and thin with no hips. I've lost considerable weight and have a belly buldge of extra skin in the apron area. On top of that I've been getting bloated often that makes me look 4 months pregnant. I really like the look and flow of these shirts, but wondering if they "stick" for lack of a better word, to your middle section? Do you think it's not flowy enough in that area, or that a larger size might work better? Last question, do you think it would work on a short girl?
Thanks for y'alls opinions?

It seemed to appear overnight, and now I have to wear bigger shirts to cover it. I would like to blame it on having large babies, but it didn't appear until my youngest was 10. Frustrating!

Ann Taylor Loft has some decent tunic type tops from time to time. I have several I really like. Their Lue & Grey line has some great tops but tend to run on the larger side. I normally wear a large in the regular Loft tops but I can often wear a medium in the L&G

annabella thanks for the link I will check it out later today. ETA: I do like those shirts. BUT I am over the XL size. If I can find it in the plus size, I might try one. I just got my second shirt in and it is a burgandy. I don't have on legggings today but straight jeans. I plan on running down and trying it on later this afternoon when things settle down. My hesitation on sending the light pink one back is that DH and I will be joining the gym and lots of walking will be happening soon. My thinking is that by Spring/Summer time, things could look a bit different. They are just sooooooo soft and I love the fit/look of these.

In that case I bought this shirt for my mom for Christmas link It runs large, but shipping and returns are free. Another color is on sale. I think these shirts are nice too: one and twoI think it's worth paying for a few quality pieces that will be flattering on your body type. More tunics.

Thanks personal shopper annabella ! I like the MC one that is on sale. The next two are too dressy for what I am wanting and make me think I would be pulling at the neckline all the time I had it on. I will check out the other link when I have time to scroll!

You should try the Lularoe shirts. You can find them cheaper on ebay and resell sites like Mercari. The only shirt of theirs I don't care for is the perfect tee, but I think it's more for apple shaped bodies...I'm an pear.
ETA: I had my fruits mixed up

I have two of them and love the one I have worn so far. I would guess it is the perfect tee. I don't remember the name on the tag. I grabbed it at a pop-up sale while I was at a scrapping event this past weekend. I am more pear shaped and this tee is perfect for me. But I will look on ebay and Mercari!
