I tried to watch a few from a few different posters tonight. They were unwatchable. For example, there was this one from Ken's Kreations on Tim Holtz's oxide inks. I keep trying to see the tag at about 6:00 in, but it's so fuzzy.
There just isn't enough bandwidth to make these videos look ok on a desktop. I think they probably are ok if viewing from a phone.
But for crafting vids, where the colors and details are important, this technology doesn't seem ready for prime time. I wish they'd go back to recording high quality videos and then upload them - even if I had to wait a few days to see them.
What do you think?

Thanks! I like hers too. But I wish there were a few others w/different guests that I could watch that weren't so grainy. I know, I know. First world problem of the first world order.

I've noticed it, too, with Craft Test Dummies, but only some of them. There are two hosts, one seems like she's just filming and the second is either Periscoping or using Facebook Live. The one using the other platforms are blurry.

I am hoping that there will be more as the weekend progresses. It must be difficult for them to film, edit, and post those videos (those with good quality) when they have attended the show all day. Monday or Tuesday will be a good day for more videos I think (hope).

Now, w/live streams, people are getting videos up much faster, but they're awful. For, me, now that I know that some are posting live streams, I'm skipping them, and waiting for the good quality vids to hit YT a day or two later. As someone said, ScrapTime is doing a PHENOMENAL job in getting high quality high-res videos up. I lived it. I learned it. ;*)

It's probably because they're using the convention wifi, which is expensive and not very fast, resulting in pixelated live streams.
If they film on a camera, though, it should be fine.

It would be really nice if we could have a thread with all the good quality videos from Creativation 2017 (I keep wanting to write CHA ). It would be a great help to centralise all the non-pixelated and informative videos. Darn you, Timmy boy, for making those oxide inks look like so much fun (and magic).
