She should absolutely chat with the Secret Service. IMO her remarks take away from the overall amazing-ness that was the march. I was by the stage but had already started walking away so I didn't even know she was there until the news covered her. Many people we spoke with along the march route commented that they were hoping people kept it together so that the real unifying message couldn't be twisted. I think I have read that nationwide there were 4 arrests. Pretty amazing. In DC we thanked the guardsmen and women who were there, many walking by and highfiving them. Same with the police. When an emergency vehicle had to get through people would make way and say thank you as they went past. There were many times that I was just about brought to tears. I am so glad I went. One of the arrests was from a Trump supporter who was charged with assault.

It was a stupid thing for her to say, but she rocked dropping the F-bombs on live TV! THOSE I completely agreed with what she was saying.

One of the arrests was from a Trump supporter who was charged with assault. There were only two people I encountered that were clearly Trump supporters that tried to engage with the marchers. One was a group of young guys walking near Chinatown in DC who were talking about how great Trump's wall was going to be and how they couldn't wait for Trump to build the wall. Everyone around us ignored them, which probably made them mad. Another was was a man in the metro home. He stood up and faced the train and started telling us that Trump was now president and that if we didn't like it we could move North to Canada. He was going on and on and finally my best friend said, "we live in America and aren't moving." Then he walked down to the other end of the train and starting spouting off again. Everyone ignored him until we all got off at our stops.

I thought the march was amazing. I was very proud to see the peaceful protests. I also think that Madonna's statement has to be taken in totality and not a sound bite. While the phrasing was unfortunate, we've all been so mad at one point or another we "in our minds eye" envisioned someone's head exploding. Haven't we seen that time an again in comedies and laughed? Her overall point was to choose love over violence no matter how angry you are.

That fact that she was stupid enough to say that out loud speaks volumes about her, does she want a pat on the back for realizing that it "wouldn't do any good" - what was the value in saying that out loud? I don't have a problem if the SS wants to interrogate her, but honestly, I'd assume they have more credible "threats" to deal with than that.
A FB friend of mine suggested Madonna should be imprisoned for treason because of it - scares the shit out of me that there are people who think Americans should be imprisoned for their thoughts. Between this, the "alternative facts", and the backlash against the press, it's getting more and more Orwellian every damn day.

That was a stupid comment, but if she should be interrogated by the Secret Service, the orange one should have been interrogated for his comment about murdering someone on the street and still getting elected. They're both tasteless, violent comments.

It was completely inappropriate but she always likes to be shocking. She was cursing up on stage too knowing this was being aired live. I think she'll get a pass from the SS, they know she wasn't serious.

Her comments make me mad because she has taken away from the otherwise peaceful day that it was.

We had a great time with all the officers (Metro and Transit) we came across. They were super nice, and they must have the constitution and patience of saints because they had a full day the day before, too! Save
