Good morning! I am making a crop checklist since I am signed up for three this year, with the first this coming weekend! I was curious what y'alls must haves are. What, if anything, have you forgotten before? What must you have to be successful at a crop?
I have forgotten all my cardstock AND letters before! Luckily, this crop was only 10 minutes from my house so hubby was able to bring them to me but I felt like a doofus! LOL!

I was at one in October a lady forgot her trimmer. We were 45 mins from anything. So she had a 2 hr round trip. Now we all offered for her to use ours. But she was adamant.

I went to one 4.5 hours away last weekend and forgot my tape runner and my Ott light. I brought all the refills for my tape runner, but no tape runner. Luckily, they had some there I could buy. My friend and I were sitting opposite each other and she put her light in the middle and that worked out fine. Hope you have a great time.

I did run out of adhesive once. I was using this tape runner called 'Duck Tape' that a lot of people liked. I had 3 of them and they all broke after about 5 uses. Fortunately I was cropping at an LSS so I could purchase another more reliable brand.
I was at a crop one time and someone had forgotten her photos. She went ahead and did some layouts and said she would just add the pictures when she got home.

What a great list leeny! Thank you. It almost matches mine but I am not staying over night. It is a three day crop but close enough to home that I am saving money and coming home to sleep. (literally one exit up the highway). I am going alone but have cropped once before with these ladies, it is a pretty quiet crowd which is just what I need. I have made some kits, going to load up the laptop with movies/shows queed up on Netflix and zone out after some socializing. I have some high anxiety etc so sometimes I just need to retreat. I know I will have fun and get lots done. Photos, adhesive, cardstock and trimmer are the first four things on my list lol!

For Christmas I got a stash of adhesive from my husband and my friend, and went to a crop this weekend and didn't restock. Thankfully I found 2 I had thrown in the bag at some point.

Literally I forgot my pictures... but thankfully I did pack my heritage stuff and I had pictures with that so I was able to work on heritage all weekend, but blew my plans basically.

Great list, leeny! I may just have to print it for my next crop I have brought stamps and no stamp blocks. Another time, not a pen or pencil packed. Lots of photos: just not the ones I had planned to use with the supplies I brought. Trimmer a couple of times. I have brought a ton of embossing powders and no heat gun. A ton of brads, and no piercing tool. I always bring lots of extra stuff I am willing to share, and usually others are willing to share with me.

It wasn't a crop but a cross stitching gathering, over 100 miles away. I forgot my stitching, all packed neatly in its basket ready to go. It was a long day

That is so funny that some of you others have forgotten your photos. I totally did that once myself and thought I was the only one who had! Thankfully I was only 20 minutes away and could come home to get them. Have fun at your retreats! I'm so jealous! I usually go to 2 every year but this past weekend I went to a yoga retreat so decided to hold off on going to my annual spring retreat..bummer.

I never get any sleep sharing a room with 3 other women, even though we are friends!
It would really cut down on what you have to bring, too. No clothes or toiletries!

Luckily never anything huge. But, some annoying small things...an extension cord, my bin of scraps or a trash bag are some. I keep a list now and it's so helpful!

I forgot to bring adhesive to the last event I went to. Luckily, we received great swag bags that had some, so that worked out.
Another time, I forgot the power cord for my laptop. That turned out not to be such a huge deal since I was going to use it for my Cricut but it broke in-transit.
Once I forgot pants for a weekend retreat. Luckily, I brought yoga pants to sleep in so I used them for the second day instead of as sleepwear.

I travel with my supplies closely packed in two big totes/2 small totes. If I forget something, there is a space in one of the totes. I can figure it out quickly. I have a very detailed list of what I have available and I can scan that list to see if I want to bring anything else.
