I wanted to print a title and some journaling on vellum. I don't know what brand of vellum I have! I have an inkjet and a laser jet, so I could use either of those. Any tips for how to print without it flaking off?

I've only done it on my ink jet and I just let it dry. I think if I had the option, I'd use the laser jet because it heat sets the printing.

Use your laser printer since you have a choice. I don't have one and I just make sure it's dry before I touch it.

I prefer ink jet. Also, I love to print on vellum, immediately pour clear or other color embossing powder on it and then heat set it. Works better on Canon printers, didn't work as well on HP.

I bought some inkjet vellum on Amazon. Not sure what, if anything, is different about it, but it has turned out nicely for me. I usually print and let it set overnight just to be safe. The ink appears to soak in just like regular paper, amd I have never thought it would flake off. My bigger concern is smudging it before it dries.

If you use an ink jet printer be sure to change your settings to best suit printing on vellum. And as others have said, let it dry.

As others have said, don't think it matters what brand of vellum. I found my HP inkjet worked great. Just give it time to dry.
Or heat set it. Or heat emboss it: now THAT gives an awesome effect.

It does work best if you can use a laser jet. I printed my daughter's wedding invites on velum (11 years ago!) and they came out fine!

My with my older canon i9000 I would let it dry or sprinkle with clear embossing powder.
My new canon printer prints and it's dry immediately.

I used to only have ink jet printers. I never had an issue if I let it dry. Always overnight.
However, now we have a laser printer too. If you're not using it for a technique like heat embossing, go with your laser printer!!
