I directly manage 7 people...they are all unique and different in their needs and I work really hard to manage each of them in their own way.

Nope, 0! I've stayed away from applying for positions that are supervisory. I don't think I can handle it.

When I was in the classroom, I supervised between 28-33 people.
Out of the classroom, I don't directly supervise anyone because I'm not an administrator, but I do interact with about 200.

I don't now but I have in the past. After I've been in this field longer I probably will but maybe not. People can be such a headache! I like why I'm doing now and just worrying about me and getting my stuff taken care of.

I'm with the other teachers on this board. I supervise 19 Second Graders. This semester you can add in a teacher intern too.

I manage over 100 employees in a restaurant ... of them, about 30 or so are my direct reports. I used to manage about 45-60 when I managed the servers but I took a smaller department to focus on operations. When I'm the manager on duty, whoever is on shift reports to me directly. I am the most senior manager in the building besides the General Manager.

I'm not a fan of being the supervisor. I've tried it and it's not for me. So, no, besides the 2 humans I'm responsible for bringing into this world, I don't currently supervise anyone.

For almost 15 years I led one or two call centers, ranging from 100-450 people reporting up through me at a time. I appreciated that time, but about 3 years ago, I wanted to do something different so I took a step down in my organization to an individual contributor role, where I support the organization as an Implementation Consultant, working on programs but don't have anyone reporting to me.
Don't really miss some of the challenges, appreciate the flexibility my new role brings.

I am a department of one so I guess you could say I supervise myself My direct supervisor is in a different part of the building and is pretty hands off in terms of management style, but I'm also self motivated and don't need a babysitter to keep me on task, which is a big reason why I was put in the one solo department in the company.

3. The worst part of my job is managing people. One is an intern. One has been with the company 33 years. One deals with stress by crying....big ugly loud crying.

I am the gopher so I am the one who is supervised. The other two never listen to me anyway except when I say "DINNER". Then they listen.

I have 6 direct reports. All millennials, and all but 2 have been here for 6 months or less. It takes a full year to understand our jobs, so I'm doing A LOT of handholding right now. Our office is only 11 people, and I'm the director of our biggest division, so I'm the only one with direct reports. I love them but it's exhausting.... (which may be why I'm still sitting at my desk at 7:40 on a Friday night - only time I can get my own work done!)

I was a manager until 15 years ago when I took a lateral transfer for the same money to a non supervisory position. The most employees I directly supervised was 10.

I was over 25 Engineers for several years, all men. I actually enjoyed it. Granted I much prefer my job now where it's a very small team. I still do training for new interns and engineers in this position, but thankfully they move under someone else afterwards.

I am a Site Supervisor. My staff are spread out over 3 counties, 6 locations and 9 classrooms. Technically only the Teachers directly report to me, they are the Direct Supervisor to their staff. However, when problems arise I am the one that needs to deal with it. A couple are really good, I have one that is learning, struggling but learning, some that think they can pick and choose their job duties, they don't like technology so anything related to that they avoid, and one that has a tendency to say, "Well, here's the deal"
I am lucky that compared to the other Supervisors I feel my staff are pretty stable, and do a good job.
