My husband and I would love to go to Portugal.
He is Catholic and would love to make a pilgrimage to Fatima.
I would love to see the sites around Lisbon.
We would both love to drink port wine in Porto, and explore the Douro Valley.
We recently returned from a nice big family vacation, so it may be awhile before I can convince him it's time to take another big trip.

Iceland. It's on my bucket list. Almost every time I see a photo of some sort of awe-inspiring geologic feature, it's from Iceland .

I think I would most like to visit the Netherlands. I lived in England for a year working and barely traveled anywhere. I could have gone there a ton but never did.
Same thing for Ireland - never went. I feel if I did go there at some point I could make up for lost opportunities.

I think I'd love to take a solo trip to Italy. It just seems like a beautiful, culturally rich, place to go.
I don't think it'll be a reality, but bucket list material, why not?

I would like to visit England, Scotland, Ireland, Norway, Finland, Sweden, Iceland, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada (I've only been to British Columbia so far).
But I have a hard time with traveling outside of the US. There are so many places in the US that I haven't explored yet.

Although the wildlife there terrifies me, I would love to visit Australia. And Japan, I imagine it to be so completely different from my own.

Cuba - just waiting for a good price I used to say Iceland, but my neighbor is there right now and every time she posts pics to Facebook it's all dark and uninteresting.

I'd love to go hiking in New Zealand. Ever since Lord of the Rings and the stunning scenery shown it's been on bucket list.

I want to go to Egypt. My paternal grandparents were born there and it has such a fabulous history. I'd also like to go to South Africa.

New Zealand and Canada and more realistically, in the short term Norway. I've been to most mainland European countries and Australia(it was many years ago when I went to Australia). NZ or Canada is not an option while DD's are still at home both for time or financial reasons. South Africa is another country I would like to see too. Just thought of another one..Japan.

In all the time I lived there (48 years), I think I saw 2 snakes 'in the wild', and only a few of the scary spiders. Most of the real nasties have the good sense to live places where there are not many people.

Portugal is one of the few western European countries I haven't made it to yet. I was thinking just in the past week that I'd like to visit some of the major Catholic pilgrimage sites, like Fatima and Lourdes, in the next few years. Lisbon also looks lovely from what I've seen.

Too hard to pick just one.
I have a fascination with royalty, esp British, so England is up there. Germany also because there are so many castles. Italy because of the art and architecture. And Hungary and Romania as my grand-parents and/or great grand-parents were born there. I would love to one day find out exactly where they lived and see those spots. Or at least the general area. It's so hard to read the Ellis Island records due to the handwriting/spelling and I know for my grandmother's side they gave a region, not a town so I'm not sure we will ever know more.

Last winter we had 27 "stor norsk husedderkopp" in our house, and they are waaaaay to big for me. Not venomous, but I'm literally terrified of any spider that isn't in a terrarium (my heart races, sweat is pouring.....). The Norwegian ones would probably message their Aussie cousins and tell them to scare me to death. But other than that, I would love to visit.

My list is long and varied! Over the next 5 years, the top countries on my list (in no particular order) to visit are: Cuba, Iceland, Croatia, Botswana, Mozambique, Spain/Portugal. I'd also like to return to France and visit some of the areas we missed when there before. There are many more countries I'd like to visit as well. I'm beginning to think I need to start taking cruises so I can hit more of the ones on my list.

Our last trip was to New York, which is about 3,000 miles from where we live. A co-worker just got back from Hawaii, which is 2,500+ miles away. The US is so vast that even though many of us don't travel internationally, we do still travel

Tahiti/Bora Bora, Iceland, Spain, and Easter Island.
I don't know how many of those are going to be possible any time soon, but I think I could make Iceland work in a few years.
