I just read about that earlier today.
why? because they're nuts, just plain nuts. that isn't anyone I'd let be a teacher to one of my kids. If she isn't fired, then that isn't a school (or district) I'd want my kids in either.
OTOH, it's surely a public school and I wouldn't put any of my kids into a public school these days. Maybe after DTs admin gets 'em cleaned up. otherwise, there's a bunch of crazoid people in them running things and teaching the kids.

Having worked in a public school, there wasn't one teacher in that building that would not have loved and taught my kid like theirs. Maybe I was lucky. There are crazy people in every walk of life. When school shootings happen, you always hear of the teacher that put their life down for someone else's child. I think this teacher should be fired regardless. I can't imagine what was going on in her head. No justification for her behavior. |

This awful person has nothing to do with what college she went to, or what kind of school she teaches at, or anything. She's just plain crazy, and sadly every profession has this sort pop up now and then. In my opinion though it's worse when it involves children.

How does someone graduate from college with a teaching degree and not know this? Doesn't speak well for the standards the colleges are measuring against for degree conferral. I'd be interested in knowing what college this one went to. Heading to the article to see if it says. . I disagree that you can hold the University accountable for this. You can't weed out everybody and people do have lapses in judgment that may not be visible during school or student teaching. I mean nobody teaches an idiot teacher to duct tape student to a chair. I have lived all around the world, I have dual citizenship but have lived in Texas most of my life. & never in my life would I agree with this teachers actions. She should be fired. Most of us here in Texas would not agree with this teacher & her poor behaviour. delila |
