Like a lot of the examples shown, you don't necessarily have to use Valentine's paper to make your cards. If nothing stands out, then use red, pink, and white cardstock. Or find another red or pink paper with a subtle print that would work. Doilies are really pretty and add a nice touch without being romantic or cutesy. I don't think hearts are too romantic. It's Valentine's Day after all, and it's about love, so I think you can use hearts for family cards. You've been given a lot of good ideas here. Can't wait to see what you come up with!
