I prefer lustre/matte/soft gloss (depending on what company and what paper you are using, but it's all basically the same effect) because it's much more forgiving to fingerprints.

I definitely prefer matte. Once I accidentally forgot to change the default settings and ordered glossy. I couldn't help myself -- when they arrived glossy and I realized my error, I reordered them in matte.
