The thread about dying malls reminded me of a tv show my family likes. It's a show called Abandoned. Here is a link: Abandoned It's a show about abandoned places such as shopping malls, amusement parks, cities (Detroit), schools. My kids love it. I love it too but sometimes it's a little sad to see places that were once thriving and are now in a state of decay. It does make me think that businesses should feel some sort of obligation to the community when they close. They should have some sort of clean-up effort. Does anyone else watch it?

A building in our town was featured on that show. Dale Carnegie invested a ton of money in this area and built some beautiful buildings. Sadly many of them have been abandoned and have fallen into disrepair. When the oil industry picked up and moved to Texas in the early 90's they took our robust economy with them.
