Welcome to monthly Sketch/Scraplift challenge! Each month, I will post either a sketch, or a LO for you to lift, or draw inspiration. Dude, it's ALREADY February 2017!!! What is it about being a grown up that makes time fly by SO fast??? I know some of you like scrapping 1-3 pics, while others pretty much only scrap double page LO's. So, I have decided to change things up a bit for this year. I am now going to provide something for both 1 page scrappers, as well as 2 page scrappers. There will always be one sketch, and one scraplift. I think it will be fun to see what you pick, or if you decide to do both! Here we go! Found on Pinterest: by Barbie Schwartz I would actually love to see someone take this, and expand it into a 2 pager! (I might! ) As you know, in scraplifting/using sketches, your LO's can end up looking exactly like the inspiration piece, or you can let your creativity run wild! These are just jumping off points to get you rolling. Have fun, and link your LO's back to this thread so that we can all see your piece of art and give you some lovin'! admin , please add to the master list. Thank you!

love the color...I know we're not supposed to be focusing on the color, but I hope I have something to do a layout in that color.

That's perfect, grammadee! Great sketch stretch!!! Love all of those circles. They add such great detail in little spaces. Great LO's!

grammadee what a great two pager. I love those circles. Here is my take on the two page sketch. I was also prompted by LOAD. I was able to use two of my favourite older lines: BoBunny's Snowfall and Little Yellow Bicycle's Twigs.

justjac - gorgeous page I am not familiar with either of these paper collections but they work absolutely perfectly with these wonderful outdoor winter photos. I love this two page sketch, I have been out of the habit of doing two pagers and I need to get back into it. might try this challenge later this month if I get another scrap day. grammadee - I didn't know the layout you posted in the Pokey thread was the s-t-r-e-t-c-h - you nailed it! We should feel schooled on this one. I mentioned I liked your circles on the Pokey thread and that I wanted to try it, maybe I should try it in this two page format as well. I need to get my mojo going on two pagers again. Hey, maybe I could do those circles in a camping them and use it for my camping pages I have not completed yet. Hmmmmmm, may give that some thought. Thank you for all your inspiration.

Hope to go to Banff someday!

justjac, I love how the earthy colours and glitter in these two lines work so well with your Banff photos! Here is my take on the scraplift double pager: home for the holidays 16 by Gramma Dee, on Flickr I tried to introduce some shaped elements (like Jac's snowflakes or the circles in the original) but ended up staying pretty linear. Cut up a bunch of pp strips before I realized, "Hey! Washi tape is already in strips!".

Oh I like both of these. May be I will do both this month! grammadee I love both your layouts. The one with circles is so warm and homey feeling. I love how perfect the circle embellishments were for the items you used and how you used a photo circle as well. The clean lines and simple embellishing of the second one lets your photos really shine. justjac your page is lovely. I love that pinecone paper and your photos are stunning!

Thanks for the inspiration! I made a 2 pager out of that sketch with the circles! Anyone remember this paper from Dollar Tree from years and years ago? I finally used it. What a colorful mess! These photos are all my miscellaneous shots from Spring 2015. I don't like to put only 1 or 2 photos on a page, especially if they're low quality photos, so I print them small and make a spread like this for each season.

I'm almost finished with the double page spread scraplift. Hope to have time to cut out the title before the end of the month!

I did it! Wasn't sure I was going to get everything finished. This is a 2 page spread, with a 12x12 multi- 4x6 photo insert. 😁 That scraplift page was perfect for these pics, but it took me just a bit to get it just how I wanted it. Glad I had it, though, since I have so many pics to scrap for this album!

Awesome KikiPea. I like to use the pocket pages between layouts occasionally, too. You really got a lot of photos in your layouts without it looking crowded. I love that.

Love the circles you chose, and especially that you substituted the heart. Scattering other circles on the page really adds to the interest.

I finished the sketch layout with an hour to spare of Feb. I love how it turned out - the photo is not very true to color. This is my son and his now wife after he proposed. She Said Yes by DawnMcD, on Flickr
