My bag is orange polka dot. I love it. It would make a good pencil case. I got the UD mascara, LB eyeliner, Mongongo lip balm, Manna shimmer lotion and Glamglow mask. I'm excited about the UD mascara, I use lip balm all the time and liner is always good (unless it smudges). The shimmer lotion and mask? Doesn't excite me. But it's not useless to me, like eye shadow, so I'm good. Pretty much what I think. Already tried the lip balm and I really like it! I think the bag is cute.

Mine came today and I love the bag. The contents are another story Dry shampoo: gross and all ready in the trash. Mascara: second one in a row. Pore primer:I'll give it a try. Flying solo eye shadow: looks interesting and I'm looking forward to trying it. Mongongo lip conditioner: smells weird but I'll try it.

Mine came today in a cute orange polka dot bag.
Contents: UD eyeliner in velvet, aka purple (probably won't use and pass on to dd) Coastal Scents eye shadow sampler (another to pass on to dd) Klorane dry shampoo (definitely goes to dd. I have curly hair that needs washing every day.) Mannai sheer glo shimmer lotion (will use, nice shimmer) Mongongo lip conditioner (really like this)
Eta: Just checked my Ipsy preferences, and my bag seems to be almost the exact opposite of what I indicated I like.

Some people on the ipsy board have wondered whether your choice of stylist and/or styles rather than specific products is more determinative in product selection. Could be that I need to find the correct combo for me. My styles are simple and natural and I didn't pick a stylist because none of them seemed to embody that style. I don't consider purple eyeliner, shimmer lotion, and the color of eye shadows they sent in that category. However, I have a 17yo dd and it's only $10, so all is not lost.

I signed up like 2 months ago & I am STILL on the wait list. Guess from mist of the reviews I should be happy to wait another month...

I almost missed the mascara. It wasn't actually in the bag. It was in the mailer bag and got stuck. It was in a card stock type thing. Checking inside mailer was Ipsy's first suggestion to me. But it's neither in mailer nor surrounding area. I thought maybe it slipped out of envelope in transit- but if on a card that's unlikely. Ha - I found it! It was in a triangular mailer insert and not in the bag with the other items.

I haven't been as happy with Ipsy lately as I was about 6 months ago. I decided that I'd make this month my deciding month. I thought the bag was cute (I'm a Tennessee Vol) but the contents just didn't do it for me. Another mascara and the itty-bitty liner put me over the edge. I have so many unused samples of those two items that it filled the little Ipsy bag and I could barely close it. How many mascaras does one person need? Anyway, I decided to cancel and try a new box called Boxycharm. I've been watching reviews on Youtube about this box and it's generally pretty favorable. Here's a link to the site if you're interested. BoxycharmHere's one of the reviews I really liked: YoutubeAugust Boxycharm review: August

I was very underwhelmed with this one. My Birchbox should be here tomorrow and I hope it's better ...

I got: Mongogongo Chappy which is amazing, and organic Coastal Scents Blush, my teen grabbed it Urban Decay Mascara (haven't tried) Eyeliner (I am a Mally/Laura Gellar eyeliner girl, so giving it to teen) Strivectin Cream (I am using tonight) I am pleased, I just like getting the products and trying them. Between the two of us, it is a great buy. I did like last month better.

This is my first month and I'm so unimpressed. I got an orange bag, a tiny tube of shimmer, dry shampoo, lip baum, purple UD eyeliner, and a tiny sampling of eye shadow colors I don't wear. Not much for me to use. I love UD mascara so I wish I'd gotten that. I'll try another couple months and see.

This was my first month, so I have nothing to compare it to. And it sounds like my bag is missing the mascara or eyeliner. Klorane dry shampoo Jersey Shore Mongongo lip balm JCat eye shadow in a neutral color Dr. Brandt pores no more primer I thought the bag was decent, and I will probably end up using it as a make-up bag for my purse. I like that it is bright and it will be easy to find in a dark purse. I got the same items except mine did have the Urban Decay mascara which I loved! It made it look like I had eyelashes!

I used the mascara this morning and LOVE it! Makes my eyelashes look good but without giving me a bug-eyed look.

I got the mascara and wasn't overly impressed. I always like having travel size mascaras because I replace them frequently due to my contact lenses. The UD mascara was very good, but it wasn't any better than the MAC or CK One mascaras that I've been using. I actually liked the Benefit They're Real! mascara that I received a couple of months ago better.
I'll give the Dr. Brandt Pores No More primer a try. I loved the microdermabrasion facial scrub I got in a bag a while back, but I got a full-size BB in the brand free from Ulta last month and it makes me breakout on my forehead. I would really love more of the microdermabrasion scrub, but it's so expensive. I got the Murad scrub and it's not as good.
I'm not sure about the blush/bronzer duo. It's so small, I'm not sure if I'll be able to apply it. The eyeliner pencil is ridiculously small too.
I did like the grape lip balm. It reminded me of being a teenager. But, I don't like that it's in a tin instead of a tube. Makes it kind of messy to apply. I might keep it in my car where no tube of lip balm is desired.

I really do like Ipsy, but I am getting overrun with little bags. I wish there was a way to suspend your membership for a couple of months. I got the orange polka-dot bag, the mascara, the pore primer, eyeliner, lip balm, the blush.
The bag - Cute. It's the perfect size to carry my insulin pens so definitely a keeper Mascara - I probably won't even try this bc I'm pretty loyal to what I use now. Pore primer - I used it this morning. I like it ok, but I think the Benefit one is better. Blush - dumb. It's so small, I don't even know how I'm going to use it. Eyeliner - probably won't try this either since I've already found the perfect eyeliner for me. Lip Balm - I like this a lot. I'll keep this one on my nightstand for sure.

Well I got my Ipsy bag today.
I got:
The stinky-smells -like-a-child's-blow up -beach ball white with orange polka dot bag. I've found that if I put it outside or in garage the smell eventually fades from these bags.
Urban Decay Velvet Glide on Eye Pencil in Plushie Klorane Dry Shampoo Bee All Natural Organic Lip Balm Mannai Sheer Glow Shimmer Lotion Coastal Scents eye shadow
I share my bag, so hopefully everything will get used. The only thing that bothers me is how much eye product I get and I don't use eye products.
I got my Birch Box, too recently, and I like it a bit better. Best of all -no eye product this month.

I'm cool with whatever I get. I like that the bag was a little different. However, I don't expect the items to match my profile - there are only a select few products that are supposed to fill each and every profile, right? Each month when I look at the other products from the month, there might be one thing I would rather have had. When others are disappointed, is that what they are looking at too? Or are they just disappointed because Ipsy didn't quite hit their overall tastes? I see (not here) people complain, for instance, that they got an eye liner and they didn't need an eye liner - how is Ipsy supposed to know that? LOL

For the most part I always think the bag is worth the $10 because I use something each month that is new. Most of the bags I repurpose for things like storing power cords, crochet hooks or dog treats. If I'm not using a bag, it goes to one of my nieces.
But...I've received enough black eyeliners that I'll never use to last me a lifetime.

I did like the polka dot bag, maybe because i hated last month's pink ravioli bag.
