Wow.
All of those covers are quite strong statements.
With his desire to be adored, I wonder if with so many not liking him, he will fall into the "negative attention is better than no attention" mentality and just be as outrageous as possible. With the way he speaks to other world leaders, I wouldn't doubt it. He's only been in office a couple of weeks, and he's been on a tear since day one.

Sorry, I just keep finding more, so I suppose I've veered off the Der Spiegel brouhaha. Now I'm wondering what the president thinks about newsstand reaction to his first couple weeks...and how that criticism will affect him going forward.

Well, seeing as he's having a tantrum on twitter this morning that far outpaces even the feistiest threenager, I'm going to go with yes.

He'll probably brag about how many covers he's on this week. He's mentally ill and that becomes more evident every single day.

I am not surprised that this is how people in other countries view Donald trump and what he is doing over here. This is how I view him too.

Me too. It's like, he's done the exact opposite of "Make America Great (Again)" Other countries think we're a joke. Even our allies are dubious of us. This is different than other presidents. In all elections, there will be some citizens that are happy with who was elected, and some that will have wanted the other guy to win. But this level of emotional turbulence, of violence, of threat... I don't remember this happening before. Not in my lifetime, at least. Whether you liked the president's political positions or not, you could respect him for how he carried himself. For the dignified way he spoke. For how they used diplomacy to speak to foreign leaders to show a desire for peace. Not with this president.

Random thought that both amused and concerned me: In the "Insurgent" cover, they of course had to insert the Molotov cocktail. But they probably didn't need to manipulate his facial expression.
It's astonishing how many photos exist of this man with angry eyebrows and a curled lip. My guess is it would be much harder to find a photo like that of former presidents.

it hasn't happened in my lifetime either.... that doesn't mean I didn't see it coming. baby steps. and the left has been doing that for decades. with dbo out of the WH, the left is in full swing - with dbo still at the helm. and his generals in place. Sharpton, moore, ayres Jackson, his Hollywood chums, soros (funder in chief), Muslim Brotherhood, Rev Wright, Acorn, SEIU, etc.

This one might provoke a response: Believe me, I am no fan of Bannon but they either found or sketched the most disgusting picture they could find. This picture has all the elements: dirty hands, bloodshot eyes, red nose (stereotype of heavy drinkers), dirty hair, hairy body. The only thing missing is pointy teeth and his hands are shielding his closed mouth. Pretty funny though.

To be fair, every photo I've seen of Bannon he has the red nose and bloodshot eyes. He's often unshaven. In fact, I saw a photo of him yesterday cleaned up in an offical White House meeting (meaning he was actually wearing a pressed suit) and I was shocked at how bad his nose looked.

I continue to be surprised that people have hope in this guy. For example Skypea, what is the hope? When the entire world is being alienated, how is that making America great again? How are you finding hope in what is really a dismal reality.
