I might have said I HATE him, but we are being very careful with our language since our dgs got so successful at speech therapy and is picking up all the words we wish he wouldn't.
When the Vagabond was introduced, I resisted. But when TH introduced the Magnetic Platform, I was having trouble getting my Cuttlebug to work well with thin metal dies, (and of course the platform was too wide for the Cuttlebug: great marketing strategy, Tim!) so as soon as I got some cash, I ordered the Vagabond and the platform. Within the first few months, the machine quit working properly. I had by then heard others had problems with it as well, so I called Sizzix. They ended up replacing my machine. By they time mine was replaced, I believe they had come up with an upgrade that was more forgiving if a sandwich was too thick for it, but the machine they sent me was the first model without that feature.
I have used it a lot since with no problem. But I have been really careful to NOT use the magnetic platform for embossing.
But this morning, being tired and foggy brained, I forgot, and put an embossing folder into the sandwich with the magnetic platform. The machine did not actually break, and will still accept all the different sandwiches and cut and emboss, but now it is making a terrible noise which tells me something is broken in there, and I am nervous that if there are some loose pieces they may get caught up in something and that will be the end of a very expensive piece of equipment.
So I am really mad at myself for being a foggy headed clutz, but I HATE Tim Holtz for making me believe that even I could operate this marvelous machine.
