The most distressing part of this (outside of the fact that he holds this office) is that none of the Republicans who said they didn't support him has the balls to stand up against him. I don't believe in following party lines when it comes at the expense of what is right. They are all afraid to cross him, which is pathetic. I want hem all gone. If they cant make checks and balances work the way it is supposed to, they don't need to be there. My husband has never voted a straight ticket, but has always come very close and has voted largely Republican. (I laughed my butt off at him because he was the one who always said there was no way he'd ever vote for Hillary, and I always told him never say never, and yep, he voted for Hillary.) He is so angry at the lack of spine any of these Republicans have that he's motivated to begin voting straight ticket Democrat. Yes, I think in many ways, they are the ones I'm angriest about. Trump's the president, and they have to work with him, sure. But that doesn't mean you just do what he wants you to do. You must continue to stand up for what you believe. And I fully appreciate that sometimes something has to give in one place so you can get what you need in another - but these folks are barely, barely uttering a peep. It's disgusting.

Tweeting about Nordstrom is a bit like blackmailing...........stock Ivanka's merchandise otherwise I'll attempt to ruin you by tweeting that you treated her badly. ^^^ this seems to be his MO with how he's trying to 'run' the country, as well-- tweeting about Boeing, car companies, the 'so-called' judge... "if only they would do the right thing" (if only they would just fold and do what I want them to do, instead of actually doing their jobs, is what he means.) The man canNOT handle being told NO. (And I hope it happens a lot more often to him starts happening to him soon.)

Nordstrom is an American owned company. So what happened to Make America Great Again? Shouldn't Trump be supportive of American companies that employ thousands of American workers? I guess not where his DD is concerned.

His tweet is ridiculous. His daughter (and I like Ivanka) is a grown woman, and a business woman and can handle this herself. I understand sticking up for your family, but you don't do it from the POTUS twitter account. And sure, she may be great, but that doesn't mean that her line is selling well. Just stupid all around.

Couple of thoughts: I still can't believe that the POTUS is still tweeting. Seriously. She's a big girl - let her deal with her business--the one she's not running There are other stores, or perhaps it's time to shut the business down. Whatever happened to the concept that - it's not personal, it's just business? I used to shop in Nordstrom's occasionally (really can't afford it now), but thanks to the Pea who mentioned on line for them--I will consider buying something from them on principle. I almost want him to continue to do stupid things like this - give people enough rope, and they will hang themselves sometimes. The more illegal/immoral/stupid things he does, the closer he gets to being out the damn door.

And it is illegal for any federal employee (kellyanne) to promote any one business over any other.. democrats are asking the proper committee to investigate this.

I filed a complaint today at gao.gov/fraudnet - Kellyanne's comments are a clear violation of the law and Trump's may be too.
Edited for clarity.

Then he got elected. Paul Ryan bothered me the most (cheesehead here). I was proud of him for speaking out. Flash to day or so after election and I see him next to Trump and he has this stupid joker-like grin on his face and is all giddy. Because the Republicans have "all the power" and he was like a kid in a frickin' candy store. The fact that he didn't approve of Trump no longer mattered. Gross. In that instant I lost a bunch of respect for him. And I am neither Democrat or Republican and would have felt the same if rolls were reversed. I don't get standing by someone who you clearly don't approve of just to get your way. I guess no political life for me. Sorry for the hijack, but am I the only one who thinks of Eddie Munster every time I see Paul Ryan?

I think in this case, it's backfiring on him. People are re-opening their nordstrom cards, going shopping and are actually supporting Nordstrom. Sorry dude, you can't bully everyone for long.

House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) said he will refer White House senior adviser Kellyanne Conway for an ethics investigation.
Here's the silver lining! Chaffetz seems to be unable to do his job about anything Trump does, but he's willing to investigate Conway. It's a start maybe?
At his town hall meeting in his home district Utah, he was booed repeatedly by the crowd. Maybe he'll feel a little pressure about keeping his seat? There's hope.

So I wonder how many of us could violate federal law and "be counseled"? Pretty sure the word would be prosecuted! You know,,, I am really shocked that he isn't planning to "appoint a special prosecutor to investigate her situation".

Is it wrong that I have a secret fantasy wish that next time she stepped in front of a gaggle of reporters, that they would start chanting "Lock Her Up"?

It's ironic too that Ivanka has been sued by other designers because they allege that she's been stealing their designs.
