I wonder what are your favorite theme/event/subjects etc to scrap and your least? What is easiest to scrap for you, makes you happy to do and what is akin to going to the dentist (you have to but it may not be the most enjoyable thing)?
For me I LOVE scrapping everyday moments/stories. The silly stuff the kids say/do, the traditions we have, everyday life, slice of life stuff. I also love documenting the relationship between the people in the photos. It makes me happy. Oh and FALL! YES FALL! Anything fall and you can almost guarantee it is done (times ten probably)!
Now I almost can't stand scrapping Christmas. I know I know blasphemy! It is like pulling teeth for me. I have completed two December Dailys and almost every year by July I have the Christmas layouts done but they are NOT my favorite. Now I like scrapping the antics of our Elves (elf on shelf) but Christmas makes me cringe LOL!
So what about y'all?

Hmmmm . . . interesting question.
While Christmas is by far my favorite time of year and I usually have a ton of pics, I do tend to struggle, now that you mention it. Despite the fact that I have 4 Iris containers full of Christmas goodies, I never seem to have the 'right' paper or embellishment or whatever it is I need. Why is that?
While they aren't necessarily my 'favorite' to scrap, I tend to have an easier time scrapping our everyday type pics.
All that being said, I actually like to scrap Christmas & vacation pics the most, because they tend to bring back the fondest memories. There aren't really any themes/events, etc. that I don't enjoy scrapping.

I'm with you - every day moments are more fun. My theory is they are a page or two and done. Christmas I have way too many photos and most are so busy! I need to be more intentional so there is not so much in the background and my lighting is better.

Easiest are school related photos, followed by Christmas. lots of stash to choose from for these. Hardest are miscellaneous photos of no particular theme just because it is harder for me to choose from my stash what to use.

Depends on the mood. When my 3 dd's got to high school I couldn't wait to scrap the homecoming and prom photos. But by the time the last dd graduated I had had enough. (By the way, my advice on those is to scrap them ASAP while everyone is still feeling good about each other. No fun scrapping those after a traumatic break-up)
I also got very tired of scrapping school and sporting events always using the same color. We went through a long stretch of blue sports uniforms and school colors, so I was really happy when the high school was maroon and gold. Then two of my dd went to different colleges but both had purple as their color and one did a college sport, so I have used every purple paper and embellishment I owned.
I have done a lot of graduation layouts so I am getting a bit tired of those.
I think all this tells me that I like scrapping the "new" stuff- new travel locations, new hobbies or sports etc. I like using new embellishments and making new things with my die cutter. It's harder to get excited about scrapping another birthday or Christmas when you've been doing it for 20 years.

I am most comfortable working with new photos and new supplies (or supplies I haven't seen for awhile). I like lots of options, so I like LOTS of pix and LOTS of supplies to work with on any project. I agree with sophikins. Depends on my mood. Also depends on how many photos I have, how many related papers & embellies, and how close I am to the beginning or end of a project. I have lots of energy at the beginning of a project. At the end, not so much. So although I enjoy scrapping Christmas, I am pretty much over it now, and can hardly wait to be DONE!!!

I don't scrap a lot of every day photos/events since I took a break from PL. The easiest pics to scrap for me are photos of my niece and also vacation photos.

Hmm I think everyday moments are easier for me to scrap. But I really like scrapping Christmas photos because I love to play with all my Christmas goodies. I do get overwhelmed by the number of photos though. I think Birthday photos are my least fav to scrap but I do not mind doing them. They just are harder for me.

I enjoy scrapping two page 12x12 layouts of family outings, events, a weekend away, or a beach day. Lately I'm not enjoying 8.5x11 at all. It's hard to fit things onto the page and I feel like the end result looks crowded. I've been scrapping this size for years but for a while I focused on 12x12 and when I went back to 8.5x11 I couldn't get comfortable with it again.

Christmas is hard for me - too many pictures and despite a drawer of paper/embellishments - I never seem to have just the right stuff.
I struggle with important pictures - I want just the right layout, paper, embellishments...it has to be worthy of the pictures and I get stuck
I love scrapping nature pictures - flowers, butterflies....

Favorite: travel Least favorite: birthdays and Christmas. I've started trying to get portrait like pics on those occasions because I don't like the busy pics, either. I started sitting outside and asking guests to let me get a picture before they go inside to the party/event.

I'm scrapping pictures past and most of them are themed: holidays, birthdays, vacations, school events, etc. (Back in the day, I wasn't snapping photos with scrapbooking and storytelling in mind.) However, I love revisiting the memories and enjoy doing those pages and having a set number of pictures related to those categories to work with. My embellishments are organized into themes, so it's easy to plan layouts. I have more difficulty scrapping rogue pictures that don't fall into a particular "category." It's not that I hate doing them, it's just hard for me to pull a page together without a story to go with it. Sometimes I have no memory of the details surrounding the photo. Makes it tough lol. Should have discovered scrapbooking way sooner than I did!

I mean really honestly how many photos do I need of the kids opening gifts? We don't have family near so our Christmas day/eve are low key which I love! However, our December is still packed with things which I consider "Christmas" so maybe it is also that I am just plum worn out that month. We also have 7 birthdays that month and our anniversary, yeah it is crazy! Save

I like to scrap outings quite a lot: going to the zoo or beach are favourites, but I like to scrap the small stories and moments that occur during these trips rather than just overall theme of a trip. I so also enjoy day to day moments. I would say if I have a story to tell about the photos I like scrapping them. I do not generally like scrapping Christmas much either (says the girl in the middle of her 2nd DD project!) or holidays in general, if you want to know the truth. I actually feel like I have to force myself to take pictures sometimes for these pages, and i don't like the feeling of "I have to do x,y or z". I also have issues with photos that are lovely but have no story. I don't like having a lot of "fluff" pages in my albums. Some are okay, but I prefer my pages to say something about the photo in a cohesive way. I have photos I like, but nothing to say about them (at this time) so they remain unscrapped for the most part.

And like you Christmass, along with other holidays and birthdays are difficult, I think primarily because those layouts usually require 5-6 photos to properly tell the stories and I don't love working with that many photos at once.

SaveYup! Dd and her boyfriend just broke up and I'd yet to scrap Halloween (they did matching costumes) and Christmas (decorating cookies and gingerbread houses). He is in every single photo she is in from those three events. I panicked when the pics came back from being printed just a few days post break up and I realized this. Dd said to scrap them anyway but it will suck some of the fun out don't. Especially since he was at fault in the break up.

Easiest for me are school-related layouts for my kids' albums. I absolutely love doing it.
Hardest for me is scrapping layouts that are about myself. It's almost like I feel silly. I'm not that important. Why am I wasting a page about me? I sometimes scrap a layout about an event at my job, and I'm shaking my head the whole time, because I have the constant self-conscious monologue running through my head as I do it. Your job isn't even important. You aren't a lawyer, or doctor, or teacher.

I can't say I dread scapping any particular topic/event -- I enjoy them all. I particularly love my current project: scrapping baby pictures. If I had to choose one thing that I get the least excited about, it is probably sports (husband's running/soccer).

Autumn = Favorite Christmas = Least Favorite
I LOVE autumnal things, it works for the whole season...but traditional Christmas colors aren't seasonal, they're specific to the single holiday and while I have an entire cube in my Kallax dedicated to Christmas supplies, a lot of it is hard to make work...even though I have infinite options, I can never decide on WHAT to go with. Autumnal things on the other hand are a joy to work with. The colors are beautiful and even if I'm not working on a photo from the outside, the colors are just so easy to use.

Despite the fact that I have 4 Iris containers full of Christmas goodies, I never seem to have the 'right' paper or embellishment or whatever it is I need. Why is that? I think it's because real life doesn't usually happen in colours that work perfectly with Christmas lines. I know for me the Christmas lines almost never work because I'm looking for warm sunshiney happy colours instead of deep reds and greens or snowflakes on everything. My least fave is Christmas at any time of year other than Dec. By the time it gets to the end of the first week of Jan if I'm not done with my DD I feel like I'm pushing it to finish. During Dec I love working on this project. My fave to scrap is definitely travel. It's the vast majority of what I document these days.

I'm not that important. Why am I wasting a page about me? I get where you're coming from but think of it this way: if your Mum had created that same page about herself would you think it was silly or unimportant or a wasted page? I'm totally stealing the thought from somewhere but there is no person better qualified to tell your story than you.
