Hi, peas! I saw Geralyn did a post with an adorable 3x8 album of her travels here: inacreativebubble.blogspot.com/2017/02/prone-to-wander-3x8-travel-mini.html. I thought it was so cute and want to do something similar! She had to cut down a 6x8 album. I don't trust myself with an exacto. I remember Jen Carlson posting a 3x8 album made my Jamaica (don't know her last name) and I have no idea where to get it or if it's still available. Anyone have an idea that doesn't involve cutting down an album? |

I've never seen a 3x8 album. Jamaicamakes had some covers in that size back in June ( scroll down) but looks sold out now. I hope Ali will consider making one, since her 3x8 inserts are so popular. I love adding 3x8 to my 6x8 albums, and a full 3x8 album looks super fun. |

Some not extremely helpful suggestions:
Personally I would probably work on the contents and figure out the album later... you could house it in a 6x8 in the meantime if you have one spare.
You could message jamaica16 on Instagram and ask. Although I guess her release is tomorrow, so it's not too long to wait and see.
You could ask around crafty/woodworky people you know and see if anyone is willing to cut the album down for you. I seem to recall when Marcy Penner first did her 9x12 her husband had done the actual cutting down for her with a woodworking (table?) saw. Zip, zip and it would be done. (Someone should start an Etsy business selling cut down 3x8 and 9x12 albums!)
You could brainstorm other binding options, depending on whether you want to use pocket pages or not. Binder rings, Travelers notebook style, do a little bookbinding...?

Ah, thanks for the tips, guys! I will contact Jamaica from her website and check up on that. I could probably get hubby to trim something down if I need to! Thanks for all of your help!

I don't know that she has done anything in that particular size, and has been really quiet for the last year or so, but Nicole Reaves does great minis. I've seen a lot of variety in how she assembles them that might give you some ideas.
