I have finally decided I am "worthy" enough to make a book about me. I have some of the Simple Stories "I am" in my stash and will be using it but it has since become "old" so it is hard to find and I don't want to hunt it down. I will make a kit from my stash but was curious if there was anything else out there specifically made in this theme (stamps, embellishments etc)
Any recommendations on other products specifically geared towards scrapping yourself? Fire away.
Have you scrapped YOU and YOUR story? How did it go? and if not why not?

most of my pages are about me so I just use anything! way back in the day I bought a CK kit that Heidi Swapp designed that was "All About Me". It was an album that also was a box. That's the only time I used "themed" scrap yourself type products.

I actually scrap myself a whole bunch, but not as a specific all about me album but rather I scrap my pictures of my life and journal and tell my story. My descendants, should they look at my books, will see my whole life recorded in scrapbooks about me. I use everything the way I would if I was scrapping pics of something or someone else!
I have done a few layouts about myself - like 'my hobbies' and things like that.

I haven't done a book about either my childhood or present day me yet. I'll be watching this thread for ideas

A couple of years ago I bought a kit by Becky Higgins. It has cards to fill out about yourself. It's really a great kit! Did I ever use it. No. :/ I just really don't like talking about myself. It makes me uncomfortable. And I know I should record my story. I know I would love it if my Mom or Grandmother did. I just feel like who cares about what I think/thought. Pathetic, huh?

most of my pages are about me so I just use anything! Same! I scrap mostly about myself and my life. No children or pets. I got into scrapbooking to document more about myself. I don't use any me-myself-and-I products. Any product goes. I just make sure I don't buy sticker sheets or embellishments that repeat the word "you" too many times (you are so loved, you're the best, you're my fave, etc.) because I only get limited use out of those. Of course, you can use them to document your favourite things. Who hasn't glued a "you are so loved" tiny sticker on a pic of their fave take-away, right? I approach my yearly PL album with the intent to show what has mattered to me, what has stood to me. It's a very biased autobiographical perspective of the events that touched me rather than a linear balanced chronological line. Recurrent "Me" things that are documented: - favourite books, quotes and poems right now - themed spreads that include everything that is significant with a goal/habit I have (I just did a spred about my daily journey on public transport at the start of this year which includes a selfie taken on the tram, a photo "from where I'm sitting", the playlist of what I'm listening on my way to and from work right now, a photo of my favourite view outside the window while I travel back home) - at least two good photos of myself a month - whenever I feel it necessary, I use it in a way that's closer to journaling (although the format is still scrappy) so I have a "Makes me sad/mad/happy/content/calm" page when it feels like I really want to document one. It can be about a current event, a family event, a personal decision, etc. But I pen down and reflect through how I present the page what I feel like. Scrappy pathetic fallacy if you will. - happy places that I love selfishly (sipping an espresso while reading the latest Vogue magazine in a café, - a lot of photography where I put the camera down on the table and use the timer to take photos of myself doing things (cooking, scrapping, embroidery, drinking a cappuccino when it's golden hour in our kitchen and the picture will look all kinds of pretty, reading, etc.) - contrasting my past and my present (all the way down to childhood) or tying them together (I love reenacting old photos with family members and old friends but also documenting the steady thematics in my life whenever I realise I'm doing something I've always done as far as I can remember) - simple "love this" and "dislike that" lists on a monthly basis - new habits (a spread about all the Netflix and TV shows I'm gorging on, where we meet up for brunch with our friends right now, etc.) - moodboards of my life (except it's filled with photos of what my life looks like at that precise moment and then I use my scrappy goods to reflect the colours of the season and what I'm seeing all around me at that moment) I'm very impressionistic with scrapping all about me and my life. I see myself as a being in the making, a changing flow, something of nature that keeps evolving. So, I'm instinctively capturing what makes my life mine right now as I know it's fleeting. I want to be able to flick through the pages and be transported back to how it felt to be myself X years ago, when I was living in that place and looked like that. I also include a lot of hidden journaling with everything from something overheard that I really loved to fragments of thoughts about life, myself, love and personal conclusions I've formed. It's very easy to do. All you need to do is make sure is that you keep yourself as the main protagonist of the story rather than an observant narrator!

I don't scrapbook too too much about just me but when I do, I use whatever my favorites are the day I make the page.

For journalling-heavy* pages - I like to use that gorgeous paper that I bought that doesn't work with my kid/family/pet pictures but I love - I pick a piece and build the page around the paper which is completely opposite to my usual way of scrapping which starts with photos.
*maybe I'm making assumptions but when I scrap specifically about ME - it's usually stories or memories I want to preserve rather than pictures

Not a lot about me (other than the point of view in my titles and journaling) in my albums: they are filled with stories about my family, mostly the dgk's. I will be doing a page or two about my birthday this year, using birthday supplies.
I started a "me" album a few years ago, and occasionally--maybe once a year?--add a page or two. I have used a couple of pages from the SS "I Am" collection, but I don't usually worry about matching papers throughout an album, so my supplies have varied with the topics I am discussing. Christmas past? Christmas papers. The Places I have Been? Travel papers. Lots of generic &/or family themed supplies. KWIM?
I looked at myself in the mirror the other day, and realized again how much I look like me maternal grandmother. Then I had a realization: she was the age I am now the last time I saw her. She was gone long before I was even a mother, but I think I model myself as a gramma on her. I may have to take a selfie and scan a photo of her and then do a comparative page.
Good luck with your All About Me, album. I think there are lots of resources on line for how to go about making one.

Wow. Thank you all so much! I really appreciate all the different views and thoughts. I do not have many (read hardly any) photos of me as a child/teen. We were military and with all the moves (and how expensive cameras/film delveloping was) it didn't happen near as much as I would have liked. I think that is the main reason I document just about everything for my littles. I also want them to know me as a person too. Right now I am SO consumed with being a mom, I need to find ME again and hope this will help some. (anyone else?) sleepingbooty I LOVE LOVE LOVE your way of thinking. Thank you dearly for sharing it. I think I will try to start thinking that way. I would have LOVED to read something like that of my grandma (she passed way before I was even thought of) but there is only 1 or 2 pictures of her Again thank you for sharing!

Sorry if this has been mentioned above, but crystalb have you checked out the journaling prompts from 52 stories? Some peas are using these for their All About Me books.

Although somewhat less themed that the Simple Stories "I Am" (which I love, btw), I also really liked Teresa Collins "Hello My Name Is" and My Mind's Eye "My Story". Both of these are also older though. As a single person, I end up with a lot of photos of myself in one way or another. As mentioned by others above, I do use general products for most of my scrapping but it is have nice to have a few products that focus on the individual.

I use to hold crops in my home every month - I decided to start an all-about-me album and the other ladies joined in on the challenge. Some of the things we included were - growing up in the 80's, growing up in the 90's, my first car, comparing me and the kids(colour of eyes, habits, hair colour, sports etc), 5 things people don't know about me, what's in my handbag, pet peeves, something I love, favourite meal (including recipe). We did it for about 2 years so there's more HTH a little.

I don't use "me" themed lines -- I just pick something pretty that feels like my style when I do a page about myself. You could browse some lines to find something that you wouldn't otherwise buy (a more feminine non-kid line, for example) that really mirrors your personal style and just use your existing alphas to make up your "me" titles. I also found this line that I think lends itself to "me" layouts: www.scrapbook.com/store/mw-6700.html?t2=kits
