I went back to school last semester to be a paralegal. Even though I told myself I wouldn't leave my current job until after this summer, I have started applying for things, and have an interview on Monday with a staffing firm. I haven't had an interview in 4 1/2 years, and I've never felt like I was good at it. I know my resume is good, but I don't feel like I'm good at selling myself.
I'll probably be a basket case by Monday!

Google "sample interview questions" and you will find tons of stuff. You might even be able to search for questions related to your field.
I find that a lot of staffing companies (back in the day) would ask some pretty stock questions just to kind of see how the candidate can make herself different and unique. When you find some questions, take some time to write down and rehearse your answers.
I am interviewing at a few places myself and I am ALWAYS asked what my strengths and weaknesses are. I feel like I have really great answers to that but do try to turn your weakness into a positive. They are looking at how self-aware you are. Be yourself and make sure you sit up straight and give a firm handshake. You'll be fine!

Ask a few questions as if you are interviewing them.

Good luck! Do you have someone you can practice with for the interview?

You probably already know this, but I practiced law for many years and what most lawyers are looking for in a legal assistant is someone with great organizational skills who can quickly find a specific document on a moment's notice. Multi-tasking is essential since most lawyers are working on multiple cases for several different clients at any one time.Being available to work overtime when an emergency pops up is a huge plus (and a requirement at some legal jobs). Try to emphasize these skills in your interview.
Good luck!

And now I have a phone interview for another position - this afternoon! At least I don't have to worry about how to dress...
