THIS scares me most If we are freezing then why in the hell is my winter in Michigan feeling more like spring right now?! We're supposed to be dealing with snow and freezing toes as they walk home from the bus stop, not getting ready to do a garden clean up this weekend! Hell, the winter fest in grand rapids for postponed and now cancelled due to unusually warm weather! So true. We have only had one decent snowfall this winter - when I first moved here only 7 years ago, it was white from late December until mid-Feb. And my sons in Australia wouldn't agree about the planet being freezing - they are suffering through the hottest summer on record in most states.

OP, I totally agree with you, but pretty much every word out of his mouth is scary. However, I agree that without a free press, we are toast, and he's doing his damndest to destroy trust in the media. His attacks on any court that disagrees with him are just as egregious. I think it has long been the far right's strategy to destabilize the truth. Trump is playing by their playbook and taking it a step (or 100 steps) farther.

The comments Miller made about President being the ultimate authority not to be questioned (gross paraphrase) coupled with Trumps own comments about reporters scare me!!! Isn't that the pope? :-) I always thought it was Eric Cartman! I learnt a new phrase the other day - Trumpertantrum- How Donald reacts to the slightest opposition from anyone. Similar to the way a toddler reacts to the word no, but bigger and more embarrassing. I think his thin skin and total inability to believe he is anything less than awesome is what worries me most, he will try use any perceived slight as an excuse to 'start something'. Save

I think the scariest things he says are the things that others actually listen to.

THIS scares me most It's really a whole smorgasbord of things to be frightened about, and every day you can choose a new item. I just read that he's preparing a whole mess of executive orders aimed at the EPA, to be signed as soon as Pruitt is confirmed. I jut feel sick today.

People have been talking about the novel 1984 a lot...I've read that book several times and every time Trump tries to make his own reality via tweet, and hammers over and over the idea that nothing is to be trusted beyond Fox and Friends, I think about 1984 and the environment where nothing was true, and the only reality was what Big Brother told you to think. This makes me feel very, very unsafe. I agree with you. Every person that denies or defends what is going on now needs to read 1984. It is quite frightening when you read some of the quotes and compare the reality of what Trump and his team is doing with the press to control the minds of the public. The saying of " the more you say it the more people will believe it" is quite true and falls right into their plan. People need to read 1984, Animal Farm and Goebbels. It is no coincidence we have that Nazi Bannon in the White House and an obvious checklist straight from Goebbels that is being acted upon.

I think it's very scary when he attacks the judiciary. I can't live here without check & balances.

That is what those that deny that it's happening don't seem to understand. They just don't know what " Global Warming" or " Climate Change" actually means scientifically.

My kid's field trip to the ice castles for tomorrow was cancelled because it's forecast to be 54*F and they're melting. In February.

It's....well actually what is it...tragic, hilarious, terrifying...all of the above? The man has no clue Uranium is used for "bad things" That's the sort of answer a child would give if you asked them what a criminal does.

The saddest thing in all of this *circus* is that the USA, as a country, is losing all it's credibility because of one man. Who the heck is going to listen and show any respect for them after listening to all the nonsense he spews hour after hour? The office of a "Head of State" is a*shop window* to the world in what they perceive that particular country to be like, generally.

I know...and I really feel for all those who aren't trump fans or who thought they were but are now feeling disappointed or nervous. It's not a nice thing to feel helpless and frustrated when so much is at stake!

When he said 'you know what yooranium is right'? Do you think he was hoping someone would tell him? His facial expressions when he's talking are painful to watch.

I'm no trump fan by any means but I've had family and coworkers ruined by the press - Diane Sawyer to be specific in one example who outright lied in a piece she did on TV that covered an incident at my workplace - we sat there in complete awe watching on TV and were like that's not what happened at ALL - as she skewed the entire interview she had with coworkers to tell the story . I will never trust a word out of that woman's mouth ever again after that .
After that as well as a local newspaper who ran with a story about a family member without fact checking and making an entirely different story out of it I have to say - and it pains me - but as much as the press does have rights there are press that skew edit or distort the truth - it's hard to believe them again after you've been screwed over .
So again it pains me in a very "big" way lol - but I get what he is saying although I don't discount what he is doing is very reminiscent of other leaders in history as well as dystopian world novels which is pretty chilling to think about.
I think if anything hopefully this will make the press more accountable to make sure things are fact checked before running to be first with a rumor. And for the love of all that is almighty if they could proofread for errors, spellcheck. There's nothing more discrediting than reading a headline that contains a spelling error.

When he said 'you know what yooranium is right'? Do you think he was hoping someone would tell him? . Either that or he thought no one else would know and he could explain and look intelligent.
