"On Wall Street, Feinberg is considered an enigma. He rarely gives interviews and once said of private equity executives: “We try to hide religiously.” “If anyone at Cerberus has his picture in the paper and a picture of his apartment, we will do more than fire that person,” Feinberg told shareholders in 2007, according to Rolling Stone magazine. “We will kill him. The jail sentence will be worth it.”
Feinberg is worth about $1.27 billion, according to Forbes. “In general, I think that all of us are way overpaid in this business. It is almost embarrassing,” Feinberg said at a conference in 2011." ya think? www.washingtonpost.com/news/post-politics/wp/2017/02/16/trump-looking-at-new-york-billionaire-to-lead-review-of-u-s-spy-agencies/

...and, his expertise with spy agencies, is... what, exactly?? (besides the $$$ to Trump, of course, because why else would he be considering it? But that doesn't count as expertise, no matter WHAT he might think.) eta: here's one of the article comments, which seems pretty apt: "trump seems to instantly assign competence for any job to any billionaire, or anybody he's seen on tv. Wasn't Jed Clampett from The Beverly Hillbillies available?" ETA2: I gotta remember this one for future use: "Trumptanic"

Does he have or can he get a high level security clearance? Because without that, what exactly can he accomplish?

Does anyone think that Trump may owe these billionaires money or favours?
Why else would he appoint them to positions they aren't remotely qualified for? It doesn't make any sense other than they've bailed him out or have dirt on him.

I want this job! I've watched Jamie Curtis in True Lies at least 2 or 3 times, so I'm uniquely qualified!

I know a few people who said Trump would be good at hiring people with expertise, due to his business background hiring appropriate consultants.
That hasn't happened.

Purge or not, here's what will stump Trump: Feinberg has no intelligence experience. If Trump thinks our intelligence community is just a bunch of bureaucrats like other agencies he's in for a shock. He doesn't hold the dirt on these people; these people hold the dirt on HIM. These people have access to every type of information in every part of the world. The president gets his information from the IC, not the other way around. Whether he likes it or not, when he took office he became wedded to the intelligence community. If he doubts that, he needs to just ask the surviving presidents.
