Dh has bunches of leftovers to serve tonight. So, that will be dinner. I hadn't made enough to last into next week, but dh will find dinners. He will likely cook this weekend. I'm going to stay here a few more days.
What's on your menu?
Have a fabulous Friday and a joyous weekend.

Friday night, so I'm making pizza. Our supermarket sells a 'Pizza Kit', with ready to roll out dough and tomato sauce - just add toppings. I have loads of possible toppings - I'll leave it up to DH to decide what he wants on it.

Tacos (the same as half the country).
I'm sooo tired after being up most of the night with a sick bunny (who is better today, thankfully. )
And now DD is down, either with a bad cold or the flu, and we were supposed to go on vacation tomorrow. She's so upset right now, so fingers crossed that she's better tomorrow. If she is, I'm definitely giving Eir a nice offering as a thank you. Warm milk and honey will hopefully work it's magic.

I'm sorry you're stuck there still, scrapmaven. I hope you're able to get back home to your family soon. Moving day sure did get here quickly, didn't it? Good luck tomorrow, cadoodlebug! I have a refrigerator full of vegetables, a full freezer and pantry, a stack of recipes I want to make, but absolutely no desire to cook. I'd better snap out of this "I don't feel like cooking" mood soon. It's been going on for a really long time. For dinner tonight, I'll take some beef slices in a tomato-y sauce out of the freezer and serve it on noodles. It doesn't really fit dh's request for non-spicy, but it's either that or nothing. I'll add some roasted vegetables and rolls and call it good.

Pizza for us, of course! DH and the kids will order from our favorite pizza place, but I'm going to try making a low carb crust. I'm a little scared of trying a cauliflower crust, so I'm going with this one instead : Fathead Pizza.

@nicksmom ....Thank you for sharing that recipe! The ingredients sound like it would be VERY tasty---I've gotta try that sometime! I still keep THINKING I'm going to make a cauliflower crust, but I haven't done that yet, either! I recently found a frozen pizza with the YUMMIEST crust (the regular, high-carb kind that I should avoid! .......and I have to admit, it's wayyyy easier to throw that in the oven than make a crust from scratch P.S. I have a few friends that follow Paleo diets, and they use either almond or coconut flour, and things I've tasted that they've made are yummy. I've read a lot about cutting GRAINS out of our diets can help arthritis pain.....maybe that would help me, too

scrapmaven - Praying for you! I'm sorry that you're stuck there, but I hope it's for the best. Hugs <3 cadoodlebug - I hope the move goes smoothly tomorrow! I'm not sure what our plan for dinner is just yet. Our youngest complained of a headache last night and woke up with a scratchy voice and a bit of a runny nose. Ugh! We were planning on going out of town for the weekend (they were excited to stay in a hotel haha), but depending on how he feels tomorrow we might just go to Eureka for the day and go to Costco. We shall see. Good thing I didn't make reservations yet. Dinner will most likely be an egg scramble and homemade muffins that I made earlier in the week.

Hope you continue to do well with the new doctor Scrapmaven! Last night I made Pioneer Woman's cream tomato sauce. I had dd take a Lactaid right at dinner and 30 min later. Unfortunately she still got cramps She does well with Lactaid Milk and Lactose Free Yoplait but the heavy cream was too much I guess. The sauce was soooooooo good. I hate to do double duty on dinner but I may make this again and just warm up regular sauce for her. Food allergies, Celiacs, and the Night Shade List (foods high in histamine) SUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Anyways, tonight is roasted whole chicken (currently cooking to make dinner easy), mashed potatoes, gravy, blueberry muffins, and green beans. It is WINDY here and cold. Worst storm of the season is on its way ajd we can get 3" of rain today. Crazy. Juat glad our drought is going away. Hope people continue to conserve!

I'm not sure what we are having. I am on my way to the grocery store and might find something there. Otherwise we will have bean soup with ground pork.
I hope everyone has a good weekend. With moving, being ill, being away from home it seems we are all in different situations this weekend.

Happy Friday! We are taking a one meal break from our low carb meals and enjoying a pizza tonight. Yippee! Sending calming wishes out to scrapmaven as she continues to get stronger and cadoodlebug on the move. We just got back from a 2.5 mile walk. It's 72 degrees here today. Crazy! Where is our winter?

Got some asparagus that need to be used, so we're having the shrimp/asparagus stir fry we had last week, with a green salad and fruit for dessert.

I really hope the weather is better tomorrow for your move cadoodlebug. I'm sure when you planned the date you weren't expect the storm of the year. It is wet & rainy here and I made BLTs for dinner because that is what I felt like eating.
