There must have been something that made you chuckle this week? There is a 20 something girl at work who has the need to one up everyone. I'm not sure why she does it but she has caused me to roll my eyes many times. This comment made me choke on my drink....'I got into tea early, before it became popular'. Um...really? Before it became popular? You're looking at someone who is half British and who practically started drinking it in my bottle .

I'm in that corny stage of thinking everything 4-yo grandson says is funny. "Gramma, I know you are big now, but when you grow little like me, will you like running and screaming then?"

Apparently eh:)? The week before she started bringing her 'knitting'. Props to her for teaching herself but girl. You did not invent it. She's a real beginner so I nicely brought in a sock I am working on and waited for her to notice and comment...then I sweetly offered to help her with anything she was unsure of.
Your grandson sounds adorable. Did you tell him you didn't have to be little to do those things:)?

Well, maybe it was a little mean of me, but I'm getting a good chuckle thinking of the call from DH about an hour ago "I just did what DS did a few weeks ago."
He is at Home Depot with DS's truck and locked the keys in the cab. It really isn't funny, but DH gave DS a bad time about doing it the first time round, I think this is a little karma coming back to bite him. Of course neither of them have bothered to get a second key made, so this one will cost us (insurance doesn't charge for the first door unlock rescue in the year).

Let me preface this by saying my daughter has Autism with no filter. We went to a parenting class (whole other story why she went). Anyway, she was not pleased because I did NOT give her enough notice for said meeting and was sulking quietly most of the time. The presenter showed a video clip of a mother whose child did not want to go to bed. We had a discussion of how it could have been handled better. One parent said, I wonder if she's one of those people who egged her on just so she could get lots of likes on Facebook after posting the clip. My daughter, who has not said 1 word the whole time, says that video was from 1997. There was no Facebook. She was the only one who noticed "the time stamp in the bottom left corner." So the parent says, ok to get attention on myspace. Then my daughter without blinking an eye, "That was early 2000's" My son was being watched by staff during the meeting with other kids with Autism. Apparently he was liked by 1 child. His comment about him was I like that person who talks with an ipad and signs. He said it repeatedly. I guess he redeemed himself because he turned off the lights before that and the other kids screamed.

"No I won't hold, and I want you to tell me RIGHT NOW if you got that fax"
Lolol #girlbye
If you used manners, I might be inclined to care about your issue more than the other 6 people I'm trying to help. You're not as special as you think you are and besides that, how in the hell can I go through the 20+ faxes on the machine if I can't put you on hold?

My days away from 16 yr old DD telling me emphatically that someone was acting erotically in school. She wanted to bet me that she was right. Faced turned a little red after she asked Siri for the definition.

One of my patients thought he had a chance with me this week and he was definitely flirting. He had surgery to repair his hernia and I was asking him if he had any pain, he told me that it was OK when he was lying still but if he moved around it was quite painful and then he added with a twinkle in his eye "I'm usually quite flexible in bed you know...." He was 94.

My nephew at school and his teacher was telling him the aide wasn't coming today, she went to Disneyland. Without missing a beat, he goes ' she should've packed me in her suitcase'! We both laughed. Btw, he's 5 and there are so many times he says the funniest things, I need to write them down.
Also cute at this age when they ask questions and you can see them 'thinking' in their mind what the answer means. Lately he has asked 'what is a nickname?' ' what is our family last name' and questions that you know the answer, it's just hard to explain.

This week my cousin was about to have her 2nd baby. She has a girl. Her sister has a girl and a boy. The boy says "if auntie has a baby girl I'm never going to her house again! Too many girls!" Poor guy, so many princesses around him. He got his boy!

Lexica I've put her in her place so many times it isn't funny... but she just doesn't get it. I do it sweetly because I'm bitchy like that:). We are in a four week class for work right now. I was off sick on Wednesday and my friend apparently said something so loudly under her breath in reaction to her that my friend caused our trainer to actually burst out laughing and have to leave the room. Three more days and we are done... thank goodness! She's not on my team so i'll rarely have to deal with her again.
