Has anyone seen any sewing patterns that look like the LulaRoe styles of shirts, leggings, dresses or kimonos? Either in the big name store patterns of PDF patterns from any web sites
Does anyone have any tips for sewing knits especially what kind of fabric I should be buying
thanks

I have a serger that I use for sewing knits, but if you don't have that I believe using a very narrow zig-zag stitch works well. My old Kenmore machine had an interlocking knit stitch.
I don't know about the patterns.

Buy the absolutely best quality knit you can. Nice and thick, the thin stuff will sag and tear. You'll need a needle made for knits and check to see if your machine has a setting for knits.

Patterns for Pirates has a ton of patterns similar to LLR. Join the FB group to get a codes for free leggings and a free pencil skirt pattern. Patterns for Pirates5 out of 4 also has a free leggings pattern that some prefer because it has more options for changing the rise and has a gusset. It's called the Ninja and the code is in the pinned post in their FB group as well. 5outof5The LLR leggings are double brushed poly, something that is hard to find in many fabric stores. I find a much better selection and better prices on line. Knitpop has a nice selection of double brushed poly and quick shipping. So Sew English also has a beautiful selection. Processing takes about 10 days-2 weeks there. They stock the store up on Thursday nights. There are many more places for both patterns and fabrics. I know I have seen a blog or two talking about patterns to mimic LLR. Truth is, they are all very simple patterns and many indie pdf designers had these patterns before LLR was a "thing." Oh.. and there are also custom fabric groups that are more expensive but with amazing prints!

For some reason your knitpop and so sew english links are coming back to this thread. I'll try to fix them. The Laundry Day Tee is my favorite shirt of all. I live in them. Wearing a black LDT now with floral leggings (Patterns for Pirates pattern)

I'm getting ready to make my first. I have 2 lengths of fabric that might not be quite drape-y enough but I might try it anyway. Then I have some that's very drape-y. If I love it, I'll get some of that double brushed poly from one of the shops you posted.

You might check with teri for help and suggestions. She sews mainly with knits and has posted photos of many of her outfits. I believe she has made suggestions of patterns here before.

If you are plus sized, Cashmerette Patterns just released a Nicole look-a-like called the Turner. It has a v neck instead of a scoop, but that's an easy fix. The Washington dress is also similar to the Nicole but has a nice yoke detailing on the skirt. They have already done all the pattern adjustments for the larger bust sizes so it makes sizing easier. I do notice that she favors high waists on her dresses so be aware of that. I haven't sewn with any of them, but I have toyed with buying the Turner. (Although I would lengthen the bodice by two inches.)

Patterns For Pirates has a sister site called Made For Mermaids that is neat too. I follow them both on Facebook. (The owners are sisters.) I haven't purchased or used any of the patterns, but they all look fun and fairly beginner friendly!

Jalie.com has some incredible (free) videos on sewing with knits using a sewing machine (I think they have some that also use a serger). Try Jalie's Sewing Knits without a Serger first and then check out their other videos. I used the one for sewing men's trunks to make what my son calls "liners" that he wears under baggier shorts when he bikes. Their videos give me a lot of confidence.
