I haven't done that in YEARS... and it looks so good.... and since my ever growing stack of papers.. I don't feel like I am wasting but helping use up a .0000001 of my stash. lol

I remember doing that! Like you said, it might make a small dent in your stash. I should probably start, too.

I used to do that, too! Only I'd cut out the center of the mat so I wasn't wasting all of that "hidden" paper. (Now I just do that if I'm running out of a certain paper that I can no longer purchase.)

I like a matted picture. In my laziness, I usually choose the white border option when I order photos!

Matted pictures look so good! I used to double and triple mat all the time but then I got super lazy, maybe I'll try a big mat on the next layout I make.

I have never triple matted before. I may have to try it just to see what it looks like.

Honestly a lot of the layering look that is done now is just triple matting papers messily! I love the look of matted pics.

I think I have every tool designed to help you create even mats. It's been so long since I've used them I forgot what they're called. There were these rulers with the lip and cutting tool. There was also those round metal things with the hole in the center. Perfect Layers maybe? I remember having so much fun with those things. I'm pretty sure I'm forgetting a few more.
Glad you're using up your stash!

Yes!
I used to rock those triple mats. Especially the thinner, thicker, thinner matting.
I might have to bring that back for a page soon!
And hooray for using up paper!

Glad it looks great and eats up some stash! Ha! That's exactly what I said when I read the title! I love matted photos and almost never have a layout without at least one matted photo. I don't think I've double or triple matted photos in years... I'm going to start again. I loved that look!

I'm satisfied with using my good ol' Fiskars trimmer.

I always struggle with trying to recreate some of the messy/fun looks. I honestly never realized that I should look at it as matting, just "messily" (love that word). Game changer.
