I have very fine hair and not a lot of it. It isn't thinning or anything, it has always been like this. My hair is limp and doesn't hold a curl very long.
I'm looking for a change. I think I'd still like it ponytail length for working out, but I'm not stuck there.
So what length/style do you have?

Mine is above my shoulders, so not really long enough for a pony tail. I haven't had it longer than this since I left high school.
I have layers, and I blow dry it back away from my face so it all kind of wings back. I do need hair spray to keep any lift and volume in it because it's fine and limp too.

Collarbone length, long layers, side-swept bangs, shorter pieces in front to frame the face. Highlights to give the illusion of texture.
Mine is also fine and not a lot of it.

This is my daughter's hair. She has an asymmetical bob - it's just long enough to make a bun. Sort of like this:

Youngest DD's is like this and she has an inverted stacked bob with the front coming just shy of her chin and the back stops at her hairline and stacks up a couple of inches from there. It looks cute and bouncy with minimal care.

This is pretty much how mine is. Minus the youthful glow, sultry look and beautiful red color.

My hair is very short. Over the ears, parted to the side, layers. I tried to grow it out at one time. It is way too fine and felt like something died on my head. LOL Basically, it was pull it into a ponytail, or it just looked awful, and it felt awful, especially in any humidity. I really like the style Nink posted, but I couldn't pull that off. My hair doesn't want to cooperate, so super short it goes.

I got tired of fussing with mine and shaved it. Best decision ever.

This would be my exact response. Also I used a mousse by Schwarzkopf called got2be that helps add some texture but doesn't weigh it down.

I think this is just the standard go-to hairstyle for women of a "certain age." I have some mousse, too, but I usually forget to put it in. Blow-drying with a round brush helps - oh, and freecharlie, wash every other day and use dry shampoo on the days in between. I get much better volume/curl retention on the second day with the dry shampoo and a little hairspray.

Mine is fine and naturally straight. I wear it long, currently between mid-back and waist length, but growing it back out to hip length. There are some long layers in the bottom 6-8" of the length, from a regretful trip to a salon, that I'm cutting off a little bit at a time as it grows. My goal is to get all the layers grown out and trimmed away over the next couple of years.

I also hatters to spend time doing anything with it. What I want it easy, breezy, beautiful with no work involved. I know that isn't a reality. I was thinking layers. I rarely get my hair cut, so I don't have a stylist. I'll have to work on that

Mine is fine, thin and straight as a pin. And I have a very round face. So pixie cuts are out unless I want to look like I have a pumpkin for a head. Right now I have a slightly angled bob that reaches just to my collar bone in the front and maybe 2 inches shorter in the back. I flat iron a bit of turn under, it's very sleek. And it's long enough for a ponytail if I want. I had bangs cut in august that I am growing back out. Im also hoping for a few more inches in total length, but im about to my stopping point of looks good and looks stringy. I also can't go two days with out shampooing, it looks really, really oily,
And, I use almost no product. I prefer my hair to feel squeaky clean then appear voluminous. I mean, I'd love to have voluminous hair, but it would be squeaky clean too.

My hair is fine although I have a reasonable amount of it. I have a sort of pixie style cut now. For many years I had a chin length bob.

Gorgeous! I have fine thin hair and keep it short. Slightly layered. Can't get any volume. Hate it. I am also very hot, all of the time, or I would consider a cute wig like yours. I imagine it feels like having a hat on?

I too have fine, thin hair. I have it collar length, lots of layers, with bangs to cover my forehead wrinkles. I wash and condition daily because I use strong hairspray to keep it in some semblance of order. I wash, dry and go.

Thin, fine, and sort of curly. My hair is shortish, with face framing pieces. I use a mousse for curly hair, blow dry with a diffuser, and work hard at making my little bit of hair look like more. I like styles that are blown smooth, like chin length bobs, but every time I try that, my hair is ridiculously thin.
So puffed up curls it is.

I've tried every hairstyle under the sun, but always come back to the longer styles. But I rarely leave it down and vary between different ponytails, braids and buns. I often get compliments about my hair, so little do they know what a mess it really is I only wash my hair every three days and use dry volume shampoo every day.

I'm so intrigued with your wig, it looks fantastic! Thank you. My hair was getting so thin it would take a ton of product and way too much time to look decent then a hour later would go flat. I saw this wig by Sherrie Shepherd on QVC and thought what the heck. Well I fell in love. The cut and color is exactly how I wear my hair so it seemed so natural. Getting ready now is so easy, just plop it on and I'm good to go. It does take some getting used to, it does feel like a hat in the beginning but now when I go out I feel naked without it. No one ever can guess it's a wig. I think it's the color with the dark roots that makes it look so real. This style is hard to find now, seems her line has been discontinued. I stocked up and bought a couple cause they were so cheap.

Same here. I try to keep it around the collar bone or just below, with enough layers to give it some movement. It's grown out right now, so almost to the bra strap, so I'm keeping it in a bun until I get it cut. (Thanks for the reminder to make an appointment!)

I've worn it in a bob somewhere between chin and shoulder length with a stacked back. That always looked good. Now I keep it about right above my shoulders, slightly longer in the front than the back. Always side swept bangs because I feel like I have a high forehead. Layers don't really work for me - they make my hair look thinner and flatter.

I rarely get my hair cut, so I don't have a stylist. I'll have to work on that I rarely get my hair cut too, and I do have a stylist (and friend) who is awesome. I was also cursed with getting gray hair early like my mom. It's bad right now. I am just so lazy! I'm glad you started this thread! I like this look

Long angled bob. I keep up with regular trims to keep it fresh. If I go too long without a trim the ends get gross.

Mine is similar to Merge but I keep the pieces around my face longer because my hair is so fine and wispy. To be honest, most days I wear it in a low, sleek ponytail at the nape of my neck.

Great thread. My hair is somewhat thin (yet my three kids have very thick hair) and it doesn't hold a curl. I used to get perms just so my hair would hold curl. I know straight is in style, but I do not look stylish at all with straight hair.
