I read it, and I care. I'm sorry and hope there is some kind of improvement in the future.

At least your daughter's injury is temporary. I'm relieved for you that you finally have a diagnosis. Maybe not the one you want but at least you know. Just take it one day at a time. Maybe a church group would help. Or your daughter's friends? Take care.

Judy26. I'm sorry to hear that your daughter deals with this. How old is she? I've been starting to read about the low histamine diet, and I feel so overwhelmed. Pretty much anything that I like to eat or drink is on the "avoid" list. I am nauseated most of the time, which makes eating anything a challenge, and eating healthy almost impossible. I truly have no idea how I am going to eat and drink. My weight is sliding downwards again, though I'm still at a "healthy" weight. But I know that I am malnourished. And realistically I'm not far from needing IV nutrition. Actually, I probably should already be on that. To everyone: thank you for caring. Really. Please excuse me not giving an individual response to each and every one of you. I appreciate everything so much. DD has had people drop off food for her, which is really helpful since she is vegan. Her husband is coming over this evening, I think, and will be taking Cora over to the city for at least part of the weekend. As I type this, Cora is wiping my leg (I'm wearing jeans) with an alcohol wipe and asking me, "Does that feel better?" She's so funny. She likes to give me "shots," too (using my used saline syringes, no needles). She also loves to use my stethoscope. At just shy of 3, she is so verbal. She talks almost exclusively in complete sentences, and has an impressive vocabulary. She is so much like her mommy was at the same age.

She did her research and learned a lot about the lifestyle she needed to live and embraced it. After the first month or so it has not restricted her life much at all. I think knowing the reason for her dizziness and swollen lymph glands took away much of the stress. I highly recommend finding a doctor who specializes in mast cell auto immune cases. Her Dr. is at UPMC and is a well known for his research in this field. She doesn't have to see him often but speaks with her GP as needed to consult on treatment. Please follow the dietary and exercise suggestions. If Mast Cell is your primary diagnosis you will be feeling better in no time. Eat right, drink right, sleep right and exercise. Those four things are the key to living with this disease.

Thank you, Judy. I am going to try really hard to find foods that I can eat. And I did get a little exercise today. I'm going to start doing some yoga and meditation.
I could tolerate all the other problems, but the nausea is hell. That's the symptom I need controlled.

I was reading this lady's Go Fund Me page and thought about you. Don't know if you share any symptoms with her but when I read the doctors thought she had Mast Cell Activation Syndrome I thought of you. I guess her condition is from black mold. I don't know if this helps but I thought I would pass it along. www.gofundme.com/treatmentfordana
