The bagged milk in Ontario is 4 litres total so each of the 3 bags has 1-1/3 litres in it. Walmart played the downsize trick and I bought the bagged chocolate milk at what I thought was a good price. When I put it in the bag pitcher it didn't even make it over the top far enough for me to clip a corner out for pouring. When I checked more closely, it was 3 litres instead of 4 so each of the 3 bags were too small for the pitcher. I was not happy. I refuse to buy it again.

I haven't seen milk bags since I was a kid in Saskatchewan. We used to have a milkman that delivered them to the door. When they closed that down, that was the last that I'd seen of them.
As for our Prime Minister, he's not that charming around here. At least not in Alberta or Saskatchewan. Personally, I can't stand him for a number of reasons.

Kwik Trip stores in the US carry bagged milk. Or maybe it was carried-- I haven't been in one in years. I've seen them there too.

We had milk in bags in the 80s I think. I remember the milkman coming to drop off the milk in the garage. Then my parents started buying it in cartons, but I don't know how that happened. Then we started getting it in 4L jugs. When I was expecting I would drink 4L a day. I drank a LOT of milk then. I had lots of bone pain and muscle cramps and I just drank tons of milk. Weird as now i can't stand milk. I just drink cream in coffee. (Which we don't have any of).

We did a bit of a road trip in Canada, driving back from a visit to DD in Oregon. We went to Victoria then over to Vancouver, then drove the Trans-Canada Highway through BC into Alberta to Banff and Lake Louise before cutting down to the US border. Saw some beautiful country and met some wonderful people. Didn't see any bagged milk tho, but did find a few Tim Hortons. Send some of those to Florida please! You wouldn't - bagged milk is a Central/Eastern thing.

yes bagged milk here in Ontario - and definitely refrigerate it or you will be very sorry!!! The milk in tetra packs does not need to - but it's also not real cow's milk and boxed wine is just nasty Canadian wines, especially Ontario wine, is some of the best I've had (and I *may* drink a fair bit of it )

My dad likes Okanagan wines and they are highly respected as well. I am not a wine drinker (usually) and I don't know good from bad.
An old boyfriend bought a nice white wine for dinner one night on date night. It was really good. I have no idea what it was or anything about it. I just liked it a lot. He is a wine affectionado and had significant means to buy wine so he bought something he said was really good.

When I worked at a grocery store in Newfoundland (97-99) we had bagged milk, but a lot of people used powdered milk. Probably because it was cheaper.

I never saw it but I was in residence at UofA then and only bought milk as needed on a small scale. All I had a was a bar fridge. If you say they had it still in the 90s then I am sure you are right!

I love the boxed milk. They are a little expensive but I like to have one around for that day you wake up and there is no milk for your coffee/cereal.

I personally don't remember it in Alberta after about 77. But then most of our milk came from the cow, real milk, real cream, warm every morning. Boxed wine is great at keg parties. Canada is gorgeous. Trudeau has not carried through with many promises made pre election, has made a huge deficit.

Yep milk in bags here...when my son was young he was on a high fat diet so only drank full fat milk, my husband (now ex) loved chocolate milk and I strictly only drank skim milk...so yep three of those milk pitchers and two of the pain in the ass milk bag cutters magnets on the fridge (they never seemed to cut the bag very well)...we had to have my milk and the boy's milk in different coloured pitchers cause if I drank some of his nasty 3% milk I'd wanna puke...now we are lucky if we even have any milk in the fridge...lol

Nanner theshyone I have never seen bagged milk in northern Alberta in my 40 years. It was available in Airdrie. Not sure about Northern Alberta because we moved away from that area in 1970.
