And my new scrapping motto is, "Don't let the perfect be the enemy of the good."
I mostly digi-scrap, which is supposed to be "no mess, no fuss." And while it's true that there's no mess, it is not at all the case that there's no fuss. The problem with digi-scrapping (at least if you're a procrastinator like me) is that it is all too easy to change things. And to keep on changing things, over and over again. Oh, let me try that with another paper. Wait, what about this font instead of that one? And wouldn't this entire layout look better if I redid it with that new template that I just purchased? I'd better start the page all over again...
Enough! Today I finally finished an album that I had begun, um, three years ago; uploaded the images to adoramapix; and ordered a photo book that I expect to receive in a few weeks. And it's given me the inspiration to finish another album that I started a couple of years ago...

Yay for you! I love the feeling of a finished album, both paper and digital (which for me is a Shutterfly book for our family vacation). Sometimes, I have to give myself a deadline to finish the Shutterfly books because you're right, it is super easy to get lost in "just the one-more-thing"....for my paper albums, I have a "budget" of 60 pages for the year so all events have to fit in that quantity, otherwise I'd never get done!! It has helped me be more decisive to do it that way.

Good for you. And yes, digi is worse because everything can be changed and adjusted and fiddled with. But I have to say I like my digi pages way better than my paper pages.

Yay for you!! 👏 good job!
I must say I digi scrap just like I paper scrap for the most part. Except with digi I always start with a template and I find changing sizes, duplicating layers etc so much quicker that I feel my digi pages are quicker. Probably because on paper you only get one shot to cut the paper to the right size so I fidget more before making the cut.

So pleased for you! I'm such a perfectionist and a procrastinator, so I'm hoping I can learn from you and get over that hurdle. I do traditional and hybrid, but I'm never happy with my end result, so I might try full digital.

It feels good to finally finish a project. Glad you were able to let go of perfection, and go with what you have. Bet your book will be beautiful.
