Has anyone ever ordered from AliExpress or Alibaba.com?
What are your thoughts on it? Do you think it is a safe site to order from? I know it comes directly from China.
I know the stuff is not high quality - but there are a few things I would like to order for party decorations.

There have been good reviews on craft products like manual die cuts on the general scrapping board. My local news channel did a segment on this for clothes and ordered from a few different places. The general consensus was poor quality and wrong sizing.

Funny, I was just browsing their website. One thing that stood out to me was the shipping times. For Canada it estimated 30-40 days for the items I looked at!

My DD ordered from Alibaba when she was in China. The prices were dirt cheap, but the quality on clothing was awful. the clothes would look ok, but would practically dissolve after just a few wearings. Either the material would fall to pieces or the seams would disintegrate. She said her classmates were surprised by her irritation; they seemed to treat most of the clothes they bought this way to almost be disposable.
Given her experiences, she hasn't made any plans to buy anything from them since she returned home.

It really depends on what you're ordering.
I ordered some socks - they are great, no problems. I think I paid $4 for 5 pairs.
I ordered some wall decals. Some were nicer than others (they already had the clear plastic applied) but all of them worked perfectly and look great on my walls.
I ordered a hockey jersey for DS. It was AMAZING quality for the price, much nicer than the official replica jerseys I've seen here in the US for $100 more. But I've also seen jerseys that look horrible, so be careful.
The things I've ordered that I did not like were mainly jewelry. I paid about $1 for each item, they broke after one use, so I got what I paid for, I guess!

I ordered 6 sets of dies in December. It said they would arrive in Feb. They arrived on Feb 1. The cost for the sets totaled $20.82. I have been very satisfied and would order dies again. Probably won't order anything other than dies.

I've ordered lots of stuff for both work and home. Most items came in the shipping time stated. I've had 2 issues with no shows and was refunded quickly upon opening a dispute. I would never order clothes but electronics, jewelry, photo backdrops, camera gear, phone cases, iPad cases, etc. A few things have been poor quality but I was aware of what I would be getting for the price and they served their purpose for a buck or two.

I just ordered a good number of dies. I've received most of them, in less than two weeks. I have a couple still outstanding but the delivery date was late March so I haven't given up hope. I've tested the dies I received and I like the quality of the cut and especially liked the price!
