I recently put new flooring in one of our bathrooms and I am going to do the same floor in the other bathroom. I am also going to paint that bathroom. I'm not sure what color to go with. There is no natural light and we have oak trim. We are also thinking of selling our house, so I want something appealing but not too crazy. Lol. I am leaning towards Pashmina, which is the middle color on the top row in the booklet. But I might get samples of a few colors to try. I dont have to use the wall hangings but have them and am not using them. They looked decent with the current color in that bathroom so if I could use them after painting that would be a plus. The bathroom in the pic is the one that is already done. I didn't paint in there. The other bathroom has a lightly different color and I think it just looks dreary. What do you think?

I was also considering the bottom two on this pin. I'm open to other colors that would work well with the trim and floor as well.

I like the one with the two colors - the third from right. I have the gray one in the middle of the 2nd post now. It's more a blue gray. But with your colors I like that one toward the end.

Is the pashmina too dark?
I also like the colour sample that has two colora, thurs from the right. Ours is like the lighter colour and I love it.

I just re-did our bathroom and painted it with a gray, so I'm partial to the grey on bottom. Here's a link. I was afraid it would be too dark, but it looks great. With your trim, etc. the beige colors are just, well beige. Pull in the grey from your tile. 2peasrefugees.boards.net/thread/57842/new-bathroom

Last year we remodeled our kitchen, LR, and DR. This year it was our master bath. I used Sherwin Williams "Mindful Gray" for all of it. I love it. It's a warm gray, very neutral.
It works well with my oak trim and doors.

I would definitely go with a gray. We used Granite Gray from Walmart and it went on like a dream.

I have looked at so many houses over the last two years as we want to downsize. I haven't found anything I like and the biggest reason is they all feel too dark. So if you don't have natural light I would consider going with a lighter color.

I'll find the swatch and look at it again. I don't want something too dark but often feel that the colors I choose are much lighter than I thought they would be and also lighter than what I see in newer homes. This bathroom is one that DH uses most. He said he doesn't care what color it is lol. But if I was going to use it, I wouldn't want a really dark color on the wall for makeup purposes.

Especially since you plan to sell, I suggest a pale off-white. It's neutral, airy, & will make the space feel larger & modern. Be certain to choose swatches with a warm undertone to complement the oak trim, then choose the one that looks best with the flooring. HTH
ETA: View your swatches vertically (& next to the trim) in the space, since the color will be applied to the walls. The orientation makes a difference in how you perceive the color...

We found this color by looking at models in the Parade of Homes. It's not dark or muddy at all. We walked in the house with this color and both of us said "That's it!". We went down into the furnace room and found the paint cans. I snapped a photo of the label

I think you need to go with a much lighter color - both colors you have chosen will be dark when on a wall with no natural light. I definitely think you should get some samples before you buy anything - paint a large section of one of the walls with each color and see how you like it. Colors are often more overwhelming when they are on a surface larger than a 2x2 square.

We have used this color in my youngest son's room as well as in DH home office.

I wouldn't use the grey (and I love grey). The floor is a pink-toned beige and the wood is a yellow-tone. You would be better to use a light pink-toned beige, eg the bottom right colour on the main chart.

I think a nice gray would look good in there. Nothing too dark but I believe grays are the "in" color right now.

I don't think the mindful grey goes with the flooring (and I do like that color). The floor really does not have a lot of grey to pull from. I frankly like the color that's on the wall in the other bathroom. It's light- which I agree with the previous poster is critical for a room with little natural light, and neutral - important if you're looking at resale.

I would stay in the warm neutral category though. Don't fight the colors you just put down because something is trendy.

Glidden color - Granite Grey. If you put the Mindful Grey swatch on the tile in front you will see the grey stand out more. Your tiles definitey have grey in them. Beige walls with the trim is just too much brown - pull in another color.

I've been in design center appointments with clients who are building homes for 2 weeks straight. I'm a huge fan of Benjamin Moore revere pewter right now. I'm painting an entire house that color. You can't go wrong with mindful grey either. Also check out agreeable gray from Sherwin Williams. I love your tile.

I think it's a bit too much grey and beige. I might try a really light green with gray undertones. Something like Hollingsworth green from Benjamin Moore.

She is an interior designer and said it goes with all types of trim.

I just went through this in redoing our bathroom. Remember those paint samples will be darker on the walls and sometimes don't look like anything you imagined. I went to Sherman Williams and two different times/rooms and different employees there suggested the most perfect colors. I would take several tiles and the pictures in. I personally like from the chips the third one in from the right as well (the darker color of the two).

Or I could just leave it the color it is. Lol. The color in that bathroom isn't much different than the other one but it just feels more blah to me. But some of the colors above aren't much different.
